Big 12 Week #5 - my picks

This week features a good clash in Lubbock...and the rest ho-hum games. Need to get my picks up closer to 76% where I was last year.

The WVU - Tech game could be this week’s OT game. It should be close one.

I have amended the Sooners score on game day with news of Kyler Murray’s first quarter suspension. I anticipate lots of Sermon & Sutton today.

Baylor @ OU 51-24 Sooners
WVU @ Texas Tech 41-36 WVU
Okie Lite @ KU 36-17 OSU
Shorthorns @ K-State. 35-17 Horns
Iowa State @ TCU 36-21 TCU

If I had to pick an upset - KSU. Snyder always seems to have UT's number for some reason. UT put a lot of emphasis on beating a TCU team that has been regularly thrashing them since joining the conf, so possibly due for an emotional let down in Manhattan.

K-State has no magic this year. A very bland and definitely beatable team. I would almost say they are even below Baylor at this point. They have really been on the decline since their last passing QB (Waters) graduated. Seems kind of ridiculous to me that they signed Gramps to a five year contract at age 78. Public relations driven no doubt.

I wish I had your faith KC in OU holding Baylor to 21. I think we are all once again going to be chewing our fingers off wondering if our D can make a stop. We are going to have to outcore them and in my mind I wont be suprised if its a 43-35 type game

I can see us doing long sustained drives after busting open a healthy lead. Which should keep Baylor point total lower. Brewer is decent QB but their OL can be beat often. Not at all worried by Baylor’s running game. Blow out city for the good guys.

Potential trap games for both OU and Texass. Texass with their big win and the RRS and OU, defense worn out, with the Army game. Baylor gave us their best game last year.

WVU will not hold TT under 42
ISU and TCU will be a dogfight but I have a feeling TCU might play closer to the tOSU level

KSU wins the TOP but loses a close one. Texass by 5
WVU gets outscored, TT by a TD, over will be 85+
TCU either blows out ISU or wins a close one
Okielite is to much for Kansas, 17+ point win
OU gives up a lot of yards but tightens up in the red zone. OU wins 10+

Texas destroys KSU 41-13

West Va outscores Tech 48-39

OSU manhandles KU. 44-21

TCU nips a gutsy ISU 24-21
