I know as a Purdue fan you get that, but remember, you're on the board of the eternally outcast. When you've only been dancing once, its hard to believe you've qualified again...You could win half your games the rest of the way and you're still in. Nobody is going to keep a team with 22 wins, including so many good wins and 0 bad losses, out of the tournament.
There’s a part of us that thinks we will lose the last 5 games. Can’t help it.I know as a Purdue fan you get that, but remember, you're on the board of the eternally outcast. When you've only been dancing once, its hard to believe you've qualified again...

Oh, no... I arranged this with Lou. I'm allowed to speak for you too.Speak for yourself.
Oh I'm right there with you, and not only lose the last 5, but fail to dance as a result...There’s a part of us that thinks we will lose the last 5 games. Can’t help it.
That's the ultra premium subscription tier, right?Oh, no... I arranged this with Lou. I'm allowed to speak for you too.
Robbie Hummel said it, and CC repeated it in the press conference. National writers said it too.In the post game, CC had a throw-away declaration ... something along the lines of "We're in the tournament now." I thought it was kind of a bold move, but that's probably the beaten NU fan in me.
However, it was also a smart to take that pressure off. He quickly moved on and talked about bigger more immediate goals. They had put themselves in a position to win the conference. He's obviously right ... but WOW.
I would be happy with either of those, honestly.Robbie Hummel said it, and CC repeated it in the press conference. National writers said it too.
Historically, go .500 in the conference and you’re in. The committee doesn’t focus that much on trend.
That said, I can see them going 2-3 or 3-2 down the stretch anyway.
Great point. The fact we haven't lost more than two in a row all season is a testament to the team's mental toughness and resolve. Clearly the kids never stopped believing.Unfortunately many on this board have been conditioned fo feel one or two tough losses will snowball into a season crushing long losing streak. This years team is different. Their mental toughness led by a tenacious defense and a go to guy on offense in Boo have made this a magical season one where we won’t soon forget. I am just enjoying the hell out of this and let some of the blue blood fans piss and moan about losing to lowly Northwestern. Well not this year boys.

I believe! This team could've wilted against Indy when they came back and tied it at the end, but refused to lose. We've seen the mental toughness several times already from this team, it's now time to believe in them.Unfortunately many on this board have been conditioned fo feel one or two tough losses will snowball into a season crushing long losing streak. We could easily have a lot of problems in the next 5 games. First, three games on the road (all quad 1) No one has yet beat Maryland at their venue) Second Iowa has an offense that seemed to not have problems with our D (It was at IA and their O is not as formidable on the road and we have 3 days to prepare) And finally, our "easiest" game is against a team that is very proficient from three which has seemed to be our achillies. Don't know what will happen. And while I feel we have a good chance to get 2-3 victories out of the group, it sure will not be easySpeak for yourself.
