Big crowd vs. VT

V-T fans have always traveled well… it’s not some rinky dink program both academically and athletically . This is where the Rutgers team needs to make sure we don’t overlook this opponent. Over decades we have shown a propensity to leave our best in the locker room when favored to win.

Which QB are they starting and will both play either way? The Baylor transfer seems to be more of a run/pass threat, but he didn't get to play until later in the game last week.

While I agree we can’t overlook Va Tech, I think there is almost zero chance we do. You have abetter chance of overlooking an overachieving small school than an underachieving Program like Va Tech. If we lose it will not be because we were looking ahead.

Looks like VT may be bringing a big crowd. Just watched a VT podcast (sons of Saturday), which was run by NJ VT guys. Their group alone have 450 tix. Should be interesting.
I heard at least 1,000 for sure and I'm sure many of them scattered around. Which will be a nice contingent but probably nothing like what we see when any of the biggest conference teams come into town. If the stadium is fully packed on Saturday it'll be from RU fans.

They will be loud if their team gives them reason to be. They have loud fans that get into the game.

Looking on SK.com, a lot of the lower level is bought up and the upper level is also moving nicely.

With the good weather, and Scout/First responders day, team 2-0, playing a name brand school, school has decent amount of alumni in area who will come, etc. - I think an in-house crowd of 50k is not out of the question

I'd assume the student ticket demand is strong, so if they sell out their allotment, hopefully the athletic dept will open up 200 level corners to them like they did vs temple

Students will prob still sit in student section, making those top corners empty, but it's more important to have butts in the stands

This has an 2013 Arkansas type feel to it. Early in the year. Nice day. Good anticipation. Team decent. Name brand coming in

Hopefully the crowd rivals that crowd. Not the biggest, but one of the louder ones I can remember

I have friends who are VT fans and are part of a group of 800+ coming to the game. Section 116 I think.

Oh look who’s attacking other posters again. At least it’s not while drunk-posting during a game like usual. Either way we all know he’ll go crying to his moderator pals because this guy is the classic example of being able to dish it out but not take it.

By the way, why would any Rutgers fan promote “game watch parties” in Hoboken for home games? No wonder our attendance sucks.

Welp, the stalker has shown his true colors and is now banned once again.

One of the nicest fan base ever to come to Rutgers.

Maybe the best homecoming victory by Rutgers ever was against them! We haven't beaten them since. 0-12 since.

Could be deceiving. I bought tickets today through Costco. Had my pick of tickets in 101, 109 and 122 none of which showed as available on scarletknights.com

Those are part of the ones we dump to third-party resellers like Stubhub, and other venues like Costco, and now officially count as sold (actually, they kinda sold one Costco buys them, but it’s better that you got them from there as it will be more butts in the seats)

And I’ll South Carolina, and a couple other teams started doing that last year, and I commend them for thinking outside the box

Seriously. What a ****ing loser. Who the hell goes through the process of registering nearly 120 monikers?
That's something we should focus on so it doesn't happen again.
I think all TKR members must FOCUS on keeping trolls off this board

I think people forget there are a couple thousand people in the concourse at any given time. I still think the crowd was about 40K Saturday.
seems a bit high...Bottom line this will for sure be our biggest crowd but how about we ALL do our part and get our perspective tailgates IN tot he stadium before the horse comes out (3:15) ?

Also, we HAVE to be louder...So many fans just watch...I mean at least on 3rd down...Come on

I mean, the fans really kick it up a notch for big games. For example, last year's game against Indiana who - let's be honest here - is a crappy team not many people care about, had lots of very loud crowd moments (given the size of the crowd) because of the nature of the moment. OSU, Michigan, etc. have all had people in high gear on a regular basis as we would expect. I expect it'll be similar on Saturday.

And he just registered the user name DeanJimmy in order to angry face your posts as well as report a bunch of them. That moniker is now also banned.

Dude has a serious mental illness. It was funny up until about....40 monikers....now it's just full-blown sociopathic.

I typically use the john twice per game and after a score as the halftime lines are too long.

I’m always surprised to see so many people walking around or even gathering in groups talking on the concourse.
If you time it right with TV timeouts and when you go, you only miss a couple plays. With my pea sized bladder, I've got it down pat.

Possibly my favorite RU game prior to Louisville in 2006. Such an incredible comeback.

I’ll really be shocked if there is not a legit 45-50,000 in the stands. This should be a good game, great weather and a good starting time.

So many schools played last night because of the holiday. Should also be able to get a ton of recruits at the game

With a brisk day of sales today, coupled with a nice walk up crowd, we could be looking at an official sellout and an in-house crowd in the upper 40’s range
