I've heard and read a lot about both....they seem similar. I'm thinking about buying one or the other in the next few months. Any advice would be appreciated.

I just bought a BGE so I'm somewhat partial. Both cookers are high quality and very similar in performance. What sold me on the BGE was the lifetime warranty. The downside to the egg is that it's ala carte in a sense. You have to buy the place setter (heat deflector for indirect cooking), the nest, etc. separately (all of which are essential to cooking with the BGE). The Kamado Joe comes equipped with those items. Either way you can't go wrong
I looked at them but I did not get one. I was impressed with Premo grills because of their oval shape. I also looked at the ones from Sams Club which looked to be of the same quality as the BGE but much cheaper with more standard features. You can see them on the Sam Club website.
