You get the sense that once the first big recruit commits , the skies will open up.....
Getting 2-3 studs has been very difficult at Rutgers .Hopefully,Pikiell and staff can change the status quo.Only need 2-3 studs and a good supporting cast to do very well ...
yes that's true but his commit was so long ago it's had little effect and has not generated momentum. I've even seen discussion that he may reclassify as a 2017 recruit. In this latest round of 2018 recruiting Pikiell is pursuing consensus 4 star recruits ( even Reid a 5* recruit) and once someone from this group commits I suspect it will generate significant momentum and hopefully other top recruits. We already have a 4* PF committed to us don't we?
And they'll win zero national championships with them. But seriously, that's incredibleMeanwhile Kentucky just got its 6th five star recruit and remains in the running for the final uncommitted 5*. Amazing how Calipari has made the one and done work despite needing to nearly reload his entire team every season.
He's a conduit to professional basketball. We're an institution of higher learning. $$$$Meanwhile Kentucky just got its 6th five star recruit and remains in the running for the final uncommitted 5*. That and $50M+ a year in 4 years time will eradicate that deficit as well.We are really an Institution of Higher Athletic Deficits. However, I believe Pike and Ash will change this historic trend.

Yes, studs have transferred after 2 years but they were the only stud on the team and the rest of the team were complementary type players. The end result no NCAA bid. We've been able to get those studs, but have had a hard time keeping them.

Billet and Jones didn't transfer the same year and I'm not sure about the other two players mentioned. What I do know is no NCAA bid for over 25 years which is one of the most significant factors why studs don't choose Rutgers. Not true. Billet/Jones. Rosario/Eschenique come to mind.
