Seems to me that the big winner to the NU infrastructure investment in Walter and Trienens is Women's sports. They have equal facilities to the Men and this is probably a real competitive advantage to many other Universities. Couple that with the educational benefits and NU should be a powerhouse just as Stanford is.

It's a pity that the hoops teams don't do the same thing. A weekend event with Loyola, DePaul and NU would be great. Hold it in the United Center. Men's and Women's teams. Build some brand identity for Chicago basketball.

NU moves to 11-1 on the season, beating both UIC and Loyola today.

Now comes the B1G season.
