Cal is going to lose a ton of guys this offseason
I bet he goes to Illinois to play with his brother.
Might be crazy but I would love to see him in Pope's offense.
Could flourish in a modern offense. Needs to get stronger and improve defense.
It’s rather funny seeing Arkansas fans talk about how good they’ll be with all these guys coming back mixed with the new guys. No one is staying.
He had his chance to stay here and chose to go with Cal so I say good riddance.
Same. And as miffed as we were about him going to Arkansas, we would welcome him back. He's actually a smart player, in terms of court vision, IMO. Great passer. Sweet stroke from deep. And IF he muscled up he could kill it in the paint.
Just nuts he followed Cal there in the first place.

He only has two years left. He can't put on nearly as much muscle as he actually needs to be a great player. Let someone else work with him.
I agree, but we will be replacing at least seven (7) players, if not more. Turnover and lack of continuity are at all programs these days …

This is entirely true. But IF I muscled up and got coordinated and grew fourteen inches I could kill it in the paint too, and I think that's probably more likely than the other one.
Impossible. He only had 9 scholarship players. Only 7 can return. How can he lose a ton, when he only has a hand full? LOL!

Ivisic- transfers.
Fland- NBA.
Thiero- NBA.
Knox- NBA.
Give it time. Cal will push them to the NBA. Whether ready or not. His main priority is the number of guys he's put in the league. You'll see.
I'm not sure he had a chance to stay here. By the looks of it, Pope wanted to clean house. Seems like he didn't want a single ounce of Cal's stench around the program.

We did this for 15 years, man. You're thinking the same way we all thought until circa 2018. But the reality is it's always the same - who you think might stay is already gone internally. You will be extremely lucky to get two players back. Perhaps I'm wrong and Cal will stop pushing players to leave. But I doubt it.

No bad feelings here towards Z but I do think Pope will find better so I'm fine with us passing on him. As you say, he was given his chance to stay at UK and didn't. Time for us to move on.
I always figured Billy would possibly transfer because it seems like he would come off of the bench if Wag stays with Acuff and Maleek coming in .
Soft and it appeared to me he struggled to retain information.
Way too many times, you would see the team break the huddle, then he would immediately go to Wagner, or Davis and ask what he's supposed to do, or at least, that's what it looked like.
Cal seemed frustrated with him a lot.
He does so many good things that we have to live through his mistakes. If he can improve his outside shot, he will improve his status.

I'm good with Thiero back if he leaves the two drives to the lane with no plan for a turnover, while the rest of the team plays 4 on 5 at the other end while he complains he was fouled, in the past.
I think it's hilarious the guy above you said the opposite. We always like to imagine the best in other people. This bites me all the time.
I'm betting Wagner goes to the portal. Two years with Cal and still not on any mocks. They got a Acuff coming in and been looking at quite a few in the portal
To compete against his brother? I'd like to think he wants to start somewhere.

Wagner fits better at BAMA than ARK, I think.
probably unpopular but I'm gonna say no thanks. He is just not athletic enough and appears to be immature and not a hard worker or he would have gotten his body ready for this over the off season. great spot up shooter and tall. but that's about it. He could conceivably do what amari did at the top of the post running the offense but he's just as likely to get the ball taken away from him by someone stronger, which is basically everyone else on the floor.
