Why the hell would you do that to him for? Most people love their grandkids and don’t want to subject them to a lifetime of disappointment and misery.I'm not jinxing ANYTHING at this point!!!
HOWEVER, THE single highlight of this season has been my 7 year old grandson adopting the Reds as his team...took him in July to see a game in KC with Reds...he devours it!!!!![]()
Well, there IS the Royals....no better....and you don't root for a team just because they are trendy and winning.....Why the hell would you do that to him for? Most people love their grandkids and don’t want to subject them to a lifetime of disappointment and misery.
Ha good analogy. Maybe the Huskers are the new Reds.Well, there IS the Royals....no better....and you don't root for a team just because they are trendy and winning.....
Look no further than the Huskers....![]()
Well, when I started rooting for the Reds, they were the greatest baseball team on the face of the planet. Maybe of all time. But I'm not fickle. I've been rooting for them ever since. Through good and bad (a lot of bad).Well, there IS the Royals....no better....and you don't root for a team just because they are trendy and winning.....

The bullpen is BEYOND bad, even though it has been much better since Hembree pitches less and Brach is on the DL...I'm telling you, I'M better than those two and I'm 68Well, when I started rooting for the Reds, they were the greatest baseball team on the face of the planet. It seems as this team is competitive. However, their bullpen is bad. Pitching wins championships. We struggle vs the better teams. I don't see this team winning it all. I'm hoping they make the post-season.
Hell, Hembree isn't even on the team - he's a Met?!? How the heck do you name a guy your closer and then like two weeks later you outright release him because he's so bad? That's gotta be a record! It also makes me wonder if David Bell has a clue what he's doing. The bullpen is BEYOND bad, even though it has been much better since Hembree pitches less and Brach is on the DL...I'm telling you, I'M better than those two and I'm 68
The 1990 reds were pretty good also but the big red machine in the mid 1970’s were a thing of BeautyWell, when I started rooting for the Reds, they were the greatest baseball team on the face of the planet. So...like 1975? In the mid-1980s I had an Apple PC game called Microleague Baseball. It had about 10-15 of the best baseball teams rosters on it and you could have the computer simulate the games. This was one of the teams.Well, when I started rooting for the Reds, they were the greatest baseball team on the face of the planet. Maybe of all time. But I'm not fickle. The Great 8. Tony Perez at 1B, Joe Morgan at 2B, Davey Concepcion at SS, Pete Rose at 3B, Ken Griffey in RF, Cesar Geronimo in CF, George Foster in LF, Johnny Bench behind the plate. You couldn't pitch around anyone. Best ever. The 1990 reds were pretty good also but the big red machine in the mid 1970’s were a thing of Beauty
