I truly don’t think another Q1 win from that point in the season would’ve made the difference.
The committee looked at :
4 quad 3 losses
And record after Mag injury
And basically made their decision off those two factors alone. Seems like almost nothing else mattered. We would’ve had to pump our NET into the 20s and have total wins of 21+ to overcome those two factors it seems to me.
Whats the point of having a thing like NET which takes into account wins and losses against the different quads and then ranks teams accordingly if you're going to select teams with much lower NETs? The quad 3 losses are built into our NET score and we're still #40.
We played stupid games and now we won stupid prizes. Can’t have 3 Quad 3 losses and leave it in committees hands and expect them to roll out the red carpet for us with 8 B1G teams in already. I’m ticked off, but nobody to blame but ourselves.
It's this simple. The ncaa said mag you got injured and cost your team a chance at the tournament. Resume does not matter. It's how we feel you will do in the tournament. So you beat the number 1 team in the country on the road who cares. So you swept state penn doesn't matter. Young man you cost your team a chance to play.
It's despicable and disgusting to lay that in someone. Jay Wright couldn't believe player availability outweighed a year long resume. The ncaa person after mentioning the number 1 seeds said it cost rutgers. So he said mag your freak injury cost you university a trip to the dance. Sleep well tonight.
