Whoever everybody is slamming I must already have them on ignore. I suggest everybody does the same. It makes reading this board much more enjoyable.
This!!! Whatever was posted I'm glad it didn't even appear

Benny Snell is my pick, coaches were very pleased with his banging style this month

I'd like to pick Ware because I think he will have a monster season but I'm not sure it will be a surprise. My second pick would be Elam.

I admit I stopped reading after the "without me this board" line.

This board was just fine before you and will be after. And to even mention the amount of money you have invested to some of us is comical.

We have plenty of realists and negative Nancy's here.

You have no idea who the legion of doom was here and you obviously do not read anyone's posts but your own.

If you were over 20 you would realize that every preseason this happens as so many yearn for a breakthrough year.

Doesn't mean your premise is wrong. I have yet to be impressed with anything other than the uptick in recruiting, which still lags behind in the SEC.

But your wording of our players is pathetic and I have about had it with new posters who haven't been out of high school 5 years acting like they are all knowing and thinking it is ok to be punks to longtime posters.

Please do not make me diminish what little credibility you have built up with your new username.
Punks to long time posters? Oh but they can be punks to me all they want. I don't usually talk negatively towards posters unless they do so first. So let's just get that straight before you justify double standards over here. You may not like the way I word things. But I remember like it was yesterday when this whole board was blasting me for saying Dawson needs to go after the season ended. You're wrong about my age. Just because I'm not a sunshine pumper that likes to spew bs doesn't make me wrong or even a bad poster. I'm more times than not correct with my assessments of our team. I'll be the first to gladly eat crow if we have a great season. But realistically we have no chance at 7-8 regular season wins our ceiling is 6-6 and the most likely scenario is 5-7. Anyone who disagrees is a sunshine pumping stoops apologist.

Hell I even remember UKerik going off the deep end towards the end of the season with the piss poor coaching decisions like the one in the vandy game to re enter towles after barker outplayed him by miles. You don't have to like what I say but until I'm proven wrong about something one freaking time then you might as well shut it considering my predictions are actually realistic and I was pretty much correct with everything I said last season. I just see things for what they are. If everyone else decides to overlook flaws in our coaches/team. Then it that persons choice. But I'm going to lay it out how it is.

I don't expect anything from Elam he has not impressed me one single time with his play on the field. He has bad technique and stands straight up when the ball is snapped more times than not. He's just...... There. And that seems to be it. You can say bad things about me all you want. But with all the stoops apologists this board needs someone to balance out all the craziness that floods these boards. I'm tired of the unrealistic fans to be honest. If there were more realistic ones here I wouldn't word things as harsh as I do. We need someone who is calling for Dawson's job while everyone else calls the person an idiot for thinking Dawson needs to go. But as far as I'm concerned when it came to Dawson. Every single poster on this board except a few were blasting me for saying Dawson needs to go. Apparently I was an idiot then even though everyone now all of a sudden agrees he was garbage. Just because I'm always right doesn't make me a bad poster.

You're right...what the hell was Barnhart thinking. He should have hired Saban when he had the chance.
Leach to be exact. You're kidding right? Stoops was the best option available regardless of the money we offer? If that's the case we might as well cancel the football program. I didn't say hire arguably the best coach in the history of college football. I said hire one who is proven. Not an unproven coordinator like stoops and jokester. you will never convince me that the hiring of Dawson doesn't reflect horribly of stoops
abilities.

Dawson was the first coach to be fired by Stoops for a reason.

I guess when i said Dawson needs to go and everyone was blasting me for talking horribly about Dawson I was just being a negative nancy. And when I said a former player told me first hand that barker outplayed towles by miles before the season started last season I was just being a negative nancy. If you wanna know why our receivers gave up in the 2nd half of the season, just look at the coaches who kept towles in for way too long. And look at his transfer. He didn't fit in with this team any longer because the entire team knew barker was better. I also got blasted for saying barker was better in practice than towles according to a former player and that they went with towles purely based on experience and nothing to do with ability between the 2 QB's. I was actually told by said former player that barker blew towles out of the water before LAST SEASON. I got blasted for that also. But I wasn't lying. And I was also right.

I tell people here what they need to know. Because people told me things I need to know so I felt the need to give yall the good news. Just because they don't like how it sounds does not make me wrong. Do not be mistaken. I was right about everything I said about the team last season. And I got blasted for it the entire season. And to be honest based on what I said last season and how often I was correct (every time) people have no reason to not believe me. Not having an ST coach last season? Ridiculously dumb decision. 5-14 in last 19 games without a win over a single winning team and I'm being a negative nancy? Hmmmm. Ok I guess. If ya say so.

And everybody here thought I was an idiot for saying Dawson needed to be let go purely based on the fact stoops is all knowing. But when stoops actually fired him then people started to agree with me and then started thinking yea he was garbage anyways good riddance. But I was apparently an idiot for saying he needed to go. Even though I was saying it the entire 2nd half of the season that Dawson was clueless and stoops was just as clueless for hiring him. But apparently that makes me an uninformed idiot.

I don't know why I get sucked into responding but I guess I'm trying to help you.

I understand your passion and understand some of your complaints but you just have to learn to stop acting like any coach or player that screws up did so purely to piss you off and ruin your day.

I've tried several times explain that Stoops is a new coach, he I learning just like Saban, Meyer, and Leach had to do. Have you gone back and checked on how their play calling and game management was their first couple years?

Same with Elam. Don't you allow for any possibility that guys can improve with time and experience? Especially when a guy just spent the off season completely changing his body?

We all get upset when things go wrong and lash out but some of us quickly realize that guys like Coach Stoops are busting their but to make us successful and trying to make the players and themselves better all the time. If Stoops had come in and recruited like a mouse but made all the right game decisions would you be happy? Then give him credit for the good things he has done and get behind him and trust that he can fix the things he needs to work on. Simple as that bud

No, what makes you a bad poster is your disregard for the opinions of others and refusal to add any thing to the discussion. Prior to getting angry in this thread, your last three hundred posts were, "5-8 maybe, 4-7 most likely, 3-8 maybe. Our coach sucks, our team sucks and if you don't agree with me you're an idiot drinking blue kool aid." Just make that your signature and save yourself the time of typing responses.

Whether or not you believe it, there are several areas where UK football is improved and/or improving. That may or may not translate into more wins on the field this season. People will happily engage in discussion with you here and do not even mind disagreement. Unfortunately, your all consuming negativity and misunderstanding about what is your opinion and what is fact is not conducive to any type of sustained discussion. You don't know where this season is going any more than the people predicting 7 or 8 wins...and that's part of the fun of it.

@andreIGUODOLLAsigns4UK why do you follow UK football? I really want to know. Why put time and "money" into something that makes you a miserable person and poster. It's just a game. Also, you are NOT a realist. You're very pessimistic poster. ALL of your posts are negative.

I'm hoping several pass rushers are surprise players but I think Josh Allen is gonna have a big year. Love him & Ware on the outside. I like the depth behind them, too.

Offensively, Mosier NEEDS to play well. A good/great year from him, or ANY LT would be huge. But, I agree with everyone who said Ross. If he puts it all together & gets comfortable with the playbook he will be a force.

What a loser.

From what I gather he thinks the TWO biggest (and most important) problems with the team last year was the OC and the starting QB------well, we won five last year with those two incredible mistakes (according to him) and now both problems have been replaced (and while he hasn't given any praise to our new QB and OC coaches, not his style, he does seem to praise Barker in a backhanded sort of way) we are going to regress from five wins last year to four wins this year, with no possibility of reaching six. What I call "convenient" logic.

Forget him for a minute, although I know he enjoys the limelight even though everyone is making fun of him, but the encouraging thing to me in this thread is I count TWENTY FIVE different players mentioned as possible surprise players. If HALF that number improve at all, let alone really surprise, we will have a good year. The other thing that jumps out is that two of our highest rated newcomers, 5.9 Leavitt and FIVE STAR Young, aren't mentioned at all------and while we lost ONE starter on offense (since he agrees Barker is the best) and have several new freshmen that will impact this year shouldn't that signal improvement to a logical mind?.

I hope it's Love or Kash. Someone to help up the middle. I think Elam will be solid and we have the speed to contain edges but I'm still a little worried about getting gashed between the tackles. If we can get a couple of our inside guys to step up I think we're gonna be in for a pleasant surprise this year on D.

Football is a two part situation. One is simple blocking and tackling, and the other is coaching. By Kentucky standards Stoops is recruiting better than Joker but for UK to be successful these players have to develop into better players than their ratings. Great coaches develop good players into great players but this takes time and at UK the future is now. For me, I want a program that can compete against everyone on the schedule. Not just win 6 games. I think that is the difference between the UK football fan and the fans at most of the successful SEC schools. winning 6-7 games will get many very good coaches fired. If football had the same expectations as basketball UK football would be a lot different but it doesn't and probably never will. Bama has Saban because their fans want the best coach. UK has Cal for the same reason.

So UK needs luck to be successful. A defense that plays better than their ranking and an offense that scores more than they are suppose to. They must go through the season basically injury free at the positions with no depth. They must play offense and defense and not be predicatable and that is up to the coaching staff to make this happen. The coaches have to put the team in situations that plays to the teams strengths and not its weakness. If Stoops does that he will he will be successful, if he doesn't he will be fired in a few years. It's as simple as that to me.
