RECRUITING. Period. then developing this most recent freshman class. There's some studs in that class but man they can't get ready fast enough. We're in this mess because of Riley's passive assed recruiting.

I’d say motivation and desire. Minnesota had both tonight. Our team just sucks. They seem to be getting worse and more injured. Lmao at making a bowl game. We aren’t better than anyone remaining on our schedule. This team just can’t finish anything. I’m hoping Dingle is correct and it’s just a roster issue. But I’ve seen little improvement, if any, at any position. I think our staff is green and learning on the job.

Care to elaborate which concern? Or are you claiming that Frost will pull a Saban and dominate college football soon?

I am worried about recruiting and strength and conditioning on the OL. Frost ran a massive OL at UCF, we are 20-30 pounds light IMO across the guards and center position. 325-335 should be the bodies across the front. We are undersized and lose in the middle of the OL.

I also dislike the approach on D, a 3-4 demands aggressive and talented LB’s, ours are passive usually and when they do get aggressive they often are out of position leaving gaps.

tackling, cannot be blamed on a previous coach; we ARE soft

no running game, or run blocking

our OL never gets to the second level. Minney had multiple runs where their OL was beating the **** out of one of our LBs. Our coaching sucks or our roster is just complete ****

Sorry, it goes far deeper than Riley. This staff is fully culpable.

If you don’t see serious red flags at multiple different spots on this staff then you are blinded by Frost’s 97’ ring.

My biggest concern with this season is injuries.

My biggest concern as a program is the big step backwards the OL has taken. They've made Northwestern and Minnesota's D-lines look like the Bears and Vikings. When you can chalk up a sack or a hurry every time with Minnesota rushing 4, that's not ok.

Also, if I’m Nash....Wisconsin would be my first phone call tomorrow. No person in their right mind would chose to play for Chinander over Leonard.

We don't tackle because we aren't in good position AND we're too small at linebacker. A FRESHMAN OLBer is our biggest OLBer. Nelson is going to be a stud. Barry is too small and Miller and Barry make WAY too many mistakes. Honas is too small yet and still learning. This is going to take time.

I’d also like to add that Minnesota ran one run play 80% of the time and had success. That’s really sad

Minnesota had 300+ yards rushing and about 150 of that total was yards gained after first contact. Do they practice tackling? Serious question.

Look at the frame of the O linemen Frost is recruiting. When they visit the S/C staff evaluate them and tell them what weight they think they'll play at. Frost is shooting for a massive O line.

My biggest worry are stupid fans running coaches out of town. The dumb ones that think Saban or Meyer are coming. If that happens again we’ll be permafuked.

When you're reaching for a tackle instead of meeting a guy in the hole, that's what happens.

We could only be so lucky if some assistants went running. We all know Frost won’t make the tough decisions.

We should have kept Riley for 7 years amirite?

Literally every time I watched a replay of our qb getting enveloped by the rush, I focused on Jurgens. He was the only one that was holding his block while the rest of the line was getting ate up.

When he snaps it properly he’s our best lineman. And that says a lot considering he wasn’t a lineman in high school.

Truth hurts unfortunately.

Chinander would be lucky to get another P5 job and Leonard is setting records. That defense just mauls people. Chinander is so far in over his head.
I hope you're wrong because I don't think he's going anywhere. Obviously by the way we look right now, Chinander isn't getting another P5 DC job. I'm hopeful that recruiting better linebacker talent in particular will help. Our linebackers are our weakness and they CAN'T be to run a 3-4.

Who are we going to hire next and give them a year? I can’t wait.

They can have all the years they want if the can show some competency.

Oh, and I would start with some that actually have some power 5 experience. Not many Jim Leonard’s out there that can just come in off the street and kill it. No other blue bloods would touch guys like Chinander and Austin.

Tackling is another distressing issue. On one play I watched, our best linebacker shot through the hole and nailed the running back at the line. He was nice enough to simply throw a shoulder at the guy who bounced off the hit and ran ten more yards. Are they not teaching these guys to wrap guys up? He literally did his job and made the play and it amounted to a ten yard run because he felt it was ***** move to just tackle the guy. He was looking for a Sportscenter highlight in a game he was getting his *** handed to him. THAT is the problem.

No way, around here we give them a year, 2 max and run them out.
