Bilas, Dakich, and Gottlieb

I don't think Gottlieb is all that bad. He gives his opinion and he is a bit pompous at times, but I don't think he has a specific axe to grind with UK or with Cal. If you want trolls, then just focus on Forde and Goodman.
I thought Gottlieb was awful - first the snide remarks about Ashley's "cheaters" and cracks about her getting old, then he tells the "Karlito" story all wrong and in the process makes KAT sound about half nuts.

Haha yeah. I was thinking the same thing about the Karlito story. It's like he caught bits and pieces of it somewhere and thought he could recount it .it was a "Cool story, bro" moment.
Forget the ax-grinding, I just didn't find Gottlieb to be that informative, knowledgeable, or interesting. But that's just my opinion.
We all have our opinions, but I think Gottlieb is awful. For one thing I can't stand his voice. Overall I thought ESPN does a much better job with college basketball games than CBS did yesterday. In the NCAA though UK is likely to get their best crew of Nance and Raff, but then again they may do the Duke games lol. I don't believe CBS has quite the bias for Duke that ESPN does though.
IMHO, Bilas is so far above and beyond any other commentator that it defies discussion -- particularly including Dakich and Gottlieb, who are both second-tier.

It was after the game, and it was hashed and rehashed yesterday. IMO, people blew this so far out of proportion. I saw zero animosity from Cal, or thought he was taking a shot at Gottdweeb. The band was playing loudly and the crowd was cheering for the first question and Cal merely said it was "good news he couldn't hear him", since we won. Meaning if we had lost, it wouldn't have been loud. Cal also said the same thing, minus the good news part to female reporter recently. Mountain out of a molehill, IMO.
I've never cared for Gottlieb as a sports personality... He never liked UK and that's no secret... After saying that, I think the guy done a good job on the game yesterday..... He was much more inciting than I imagined he would be... He knew a lot more about the game than I thought he did.. He is full of sports trivia on basketball... I don't know how he'll be from here on out, but he wasn't that bad today.... Of course, everyone can take a cue from Jay Bilas, but I'll give credit where it's due..

It's hard to kill a troll, because you might kill an innocent one every now and then.... On Forde and Goodman, you can concentrate your whole aim on them, and not worry about them being innocent....
Cannot agree on Gotleeb, no personality, very dry and lets his personal feeling get in the way of his analytical work.
