Wants to tax robot workers...anyone else see this ...
Well I guess his thought process is, the fewer the workers, the fewer those paying payroll taxes.
They give it all to a tax free charity .......that only 2% goes to the charitable works ....I personally believe that the only time a charity should be tax free is if 65% goes to the charitable cause ...

Here is how hypocritical they are. They set up this huge charity. Donating billions. Why, because they feel they know best how to distribute their money. They pick their own causes, their own charities.
They could simply give it to the government and let them redistribute it. Who don't they do this? Because they know they will make better decisions than government and will use that money much more efficiently.
That's what I was thinking .....I'm all for lowering taxes & spending in general, but we have to fund our country somehow & unless the government starts making money......then tax the botsWith very little information supporting my opinion on this matter I would also support this. If a machine replaces a human being then I would support a tax on the company. Not necessarily saying a tax increase but a tax on the company equal to what a human employee would provide.
And how exactly does that make them hypocritical? If you can hate on Bill Gates and Warren Buffett then you can hate on anybody. Billionaires that don't come off as full of themselves and that give a bunch of money away. What jerks!
Elon Musk and others suggest a universal basic income. Bill Gates suggests taxing robots. You dislike it all. So what do you suggest? Because we are in the beginning stages of a tremendous amount of jobs currently performed by humans turning into automation. At least they're suggesting something. What do you suggest? Do nothing?
I'll tell you OP. They want higher taxes meaning they want Americans to send the government more of their money. Why doesn't Bill and Warren trust the government and send them this charitable money? Because they believe they know better than the government how to use that money. That makes them hypocritical.
Libs hate the Koch's, right? And they give away tons and tons of money. But they don't want to raise everyone's taxes. So they are not hypocrites.
The government must live within its means. I know that is foreign to a liberal. After all, Obama rang up more debt than all prior presidents combined. Americans have to live within our means, why not the government?
You didn't answer the question. What is your solution? Bill Gates isn't saying to tax the robots just because he likes taxes. He's doing to it to address a problem that's only going to grow. It has to be addressed somehow. Just saying "Don't tax" is akin to sticking your head in the sand.
