I swear Bill will be the next puppet that Jeff Dunham brings to his comedy show

Walton does have some good lines. His partner on the Texas-UNC game (GO LONGHORNS!!!! AWESOME FINISH!!) mentioned Hansbraugh. Walton just deadpanned "and where is HE NOW?" Its just funny how he can deliver lines like that w/edge of a sarcastic tone!!! Lol....OFC

I also heard Walton take a shot at Duke (no surprise there) when mentioning that Duke was playing at home. He kept saying it over and over until his partner said "what are you trying to say"?

Honestly, I really miss Dickie V calling our games. I know he's gotten older and makes more mistakes now, but he's a staple of the game.

Bill is the man. I don’t even watch games he’s on. I put it on in the background because I know he’s going to say some funny stuff

I guess I'm one of the few that likes Bill Walton. Love his stories especially the one anout getting his haircut while at UCLA. He's just an old burned out hippie who knows his basketball. OFC

I like Walton for 15 minutes each night. He's usually doing the West Coast game so I can laugh for a few minutes before turning off the TV. Not sure I could take a whole game of him though.

I understand the dislike for Bill Walton. He does seem to ramble on and get off track but I guess it comes down to everyones else personal taste. There hsve been other announcers in sports that would stray like Phil Rizzuto and Don Meredith but they were color men which means they added color to the game. He is the same age as I and I have always followed his career. Back in the day I couldn't stand UCLA but I really liked Walton and the way he played the game. So fundemental. For those who did see him play remember how he would block a shot, catch the block and have the pass down court to a breaking team mate for a lay up. Now tell who can do that today? He could make free throws because he wanted to and realized how important they were. He hit both the offensive and defensive boards. I can't even imagine how great a player hevwould have been minus those knee injuries. It comes down to you either like him or not just like Bilas. I enjoy them both and wonder how they would be as a team. I also wouldn't mind having him as a big man coach but probably not feesible because of the different way a big man plays the game now. OFC

Mann I like ol Walton. I don’t take anything he says serious. I listen to him to laugh, at how, just weird he is. He’s crazy as hell, sorta like me, but in different ways lol

I am the same. He gets loopy and out there but that's always been his personality. I like him. I love his passion for the game. And loved him as a player. He was and remains my all-time favorite college player. 2nd best CBB player ever after Alcindor. So I can never really complain about him.
