Agree, dumbest women I ever worked with was a Harvard grad (couldn't do basic arithmetic) but she was head of special ed in our building.

On the Browns, would they bring Deion in to coach his son?
If they do, it would be doubling down on stupid. But it’s the Browns, so they probably will do it.

I'm 75, and I can tell you from experience that you don't want anyone in their mid-70s in charge of anything important.
I am 74 and I agree. Our last 2 presidents come to mind. The NFL is too competitive for a guy in his 70's to compete effectively.

I don't think that many get canned. Maybe Gannon out in Arizona. Giants have already made the move. Raiders I think keep Carroll. Commanders keep Henning. The rest of the NFC could keep their coaches. AFC west I don't see any changes. Jets keep Glenn I would believe. Stefanski is probably gone in Cleveland. Titans made their move. Maybe 3 coaches let go?
That didn’t work out to well!

Do they! If the Eagles lose to SF?
Yes they do. They are not getting rid of a coach who has taken them to 2 of the last 3 super bowls including winning one. Has them in the playoffs again this year. Sure if they lose Siranni is going to take some heat, but Lurie is a very loyal owner. This team is going to need to be retooled in the off season. Thankfully they are loaded with draft picks the next 2 years.

The Colts got unlucky but that trade for Gardner is gonna hurt them for years. Too bad.
that trade was bad at the time, was basing that trade off of a half season of Jones, and the hot start was already showing signs of slowing.

a couple of things if they lose and Lurie says to fire the OC and Nick says no, then what? see Doug Peterson. Lurie and Howie believe the team has so much talent anybody can coach them.
what retooling do you think they need? I dont really see anything other than normal attrition

Yeah never thought Harbaugh would be let go. Or Pete Carroll would be cut after 1 season but Davis is a nut owner. Welp Eagles have their coach so I am good. :)
Latest is that John Harbaugh was told that he could stay on as the Ravens HC only if he let his OC Todd Monken go. Harbaugh said no, so here we are. I get the Ravens every week and I thought their play calling on O was abysmal.

I was thinking 3-4 openings tops
Read an article on the Raiders - what a sh&t show all the eway around and Brady's involvement is just making it worse - the Jeanty selection was a huge mistake and as noted from another poster - makes no sense to take a RB in the top 10.

Why I was always stunned the Giants took Saquon that early. As a Eagles fan I loved it, as it kept them with Jones at QB. The NFL is a QB driven league. For the most part you need a good QB for team success in the NFL. Yes excellent defenses can win Super Bowls but it is much more difficult plus its even harder to keep that defense together for 10-15 years like a good QB can play.

The oline is going to need to be replenished. Lane Johnson is retiring soon with injuries showing up on him regularly now. Cam Jurgens has a bad back and I am not sold on him being healthy going forward. Add in Tyler Steen has improved but he can be replaced as well. They really miss Becton at RG. You know offensive lines better than I do. AJ Brown if he continues to be a problem Howie will ship him out. I am still not sold on Adoree Jackson even though he has played better lately. The other options Bennett and Ringo are not going to challenge him for that spot. They will also need a FG kicker. Elliott is struggling too much the last 2 seasons. Not sure what would happen or if it would happen where Lurie/Howie ask Nick to replace his OC. Nick may do it himself. Not sure that Nick would put his foot down like that. Pederson is a not a good comparison IMHO. Look at his record with the Eagles. 69-69. 1 Super Bowl season. A 7-9, 9-7, 9-7, and his last season was 4-11. Not hard to see why Lurie and Howie said goodbye. Nick is coming off leading the team to the super bowl 2 of the last 3 years. Has them in the playoffs this year at 11-6 when really would have been 12-5 if he played the starters in the last game. If Nick was 5-12 this season that is a different story. Be interesting to see what changes if any happen in the off season.

I think Doug came in to clean up Chips mess. Chip forced a lot of talent out the door. So Doug was left w what he had won a Superbowl. He wanted to pick his own coaches Howie n Jeffrey thought they knew better. So they had to find a new coach. So what happens when Jeffrey wants a new OC and Nick wants to keep his pick because you know he’s the HC ?? That I think is a real scenario including when the Iggles win another Super Bowl this year
The rest will work itself out via FA draft. I could see an OT in the first round. A DB in rd 2. Eagles have good history w second rd DB
