TK Davis 133 beat Shawver last year and beat Braxton Brown over the weekend he's solid.
Chittum 157 but he was unattached at SE open not sure yet if he's gonna RS or wrestle

I‘m interested in seeing our #1s vs our #2s at each weight though, too.
I had thought about going to West Point Sunday but after seeing the field I think I'm going to pass. Some of the best matchups could be Penn State kids competing against each other. Curious about Cochran at Hwt.
Wrestling aside, a trip to West Point is always awesome. I was thinking of it just to be on the grounds with wrestling a bonus distraction. I wish I was closer than a 5h one-way drive.
Cochran vs Mirasola is the most intriguing match for me. It'll be fun seeing Duke in a PSU singlet as well.
He also said two per weight class, and that Barr and Ono are out. I’m hoping they get three in at 174 because I really want to see both Henckel and Asher.
That was my original thought also. I've never been to West Point and it's a shorter drive (2 hours) for me than State College. Just wish the competition was better.
Years ago PSU would go to the ESU Open which had a better field than this year Black Knight Open .
The one year Cael brought in a bunch of young talent Ex. Nolf redshirt and Cassar wrestling unattached. There was very little bleacher space so you could stand on mats and watch. I stood next to Cael during a Matt McCutcheon match. I think I had a local school sweat shirt on and he asked if I lived nearby. I said I was from rival school (Bangor) where Mikey Ricciato(Pen Argyl) was from ,who he recruited. We literally had a conversation for about 5 minutes about some local District 11 and Blair kids . Cael was awesome towards me for that moment. The conversation ended when Nolf came up to Cael and told coach he was going to tech all his opponents that day. Cael just got a little smile on his face when Nolf said it.

I am having seconds thoughts about going to the BK, too. I was hoping to see Ono. I did not expect the competition to be so weak. Now the only reason I am going from Pittsburgh is to spend the day with my son, who is driving down from VT.
It's an invite so RS guys unless they're freshman can't attend . Freshman can go and use it as 1 of the 5 dates they get. And that's why Cael said No Davis and Ono

2011 season my father and I drove to Binghamton for the Bearcat duals ( or whatever it was called). In between one of the rounds Cael started a conversation with my dad (he had a PSU wrestling sweatshirt on). Made my generally stoic father's day.

PSU isn't hosting this in lieu of attending the traditional, much stronger tournament the same week.

People complain about flo a lot in here but I love flo as I also love international wrestling. I watch events all year round with PSU guys in them.
It is a must have for early PSU seasons with some duals and tournaments only on flo. I keep it all year and enjoy the coverage.
They are not perfect but I love wrestling and they allow me to watch it all..
I agree 100%. There is a lot to dislike but I love wrestling and I get to watch more now than I ever have in the past. It’s incredible. Tune out the talking heads and just enjoy watching elite wrestling year round
