If OSU runs out the same HWT they did against Parris, Kerk wins by a major at a minimum.

Your scoring is actually 24-7, you messed it up with the Bartlett win, but we get it, we should kick *** !

OSU will be expecting us to be over confident. That team and arena is ready….

I suspect we will be flat, wrestling through OSU. Hammering the Bucks in the beginning of February means nothing. They are just starting a month of hard work in prep for March.

I think we get a lot of bonus points in this match. The score will be higher in our favor.

The Ohio State wrestlers have always seemed like respectable, classy guys. Tom, on the other hand, frequently, sounds like sour grapes.
I know what you are saying, but I have a friend who coached with Tom, and as a result, I have been in his company a few times. He has always been great to talk to. A nice guy…… to me. He just laughs when I bring up the robes and said, “That was not a great idea…….but I love them. But no more robes!” Lol……

What is Marco Vespa's story? Is Steen injured or is Vespa beating him in the Room?

Fair enough. He just sounds like a big whiner when he blames losing on the bus ride, the heat in the arena, and the questionable referees. Just be a big boy and own the loss.

SVN needs to start showing something, not impressive the last few matches, I think this is very possible.
Please don’t expect SVN to beat him. I’d love to see it happen. Sammy is excellent at winning close matches.

Ok Jbott. I tried hard to ignore Ryan tonight and give him the benefit of the doubt but he was obnoxious tonight. The tipping point for me was when he yelled “choke him” loud and clear in one of the last matches. He’s an embarrassment to the sport and has no class. He’s a whiny *****. You can tell him that’s what our fan base thinks of him.

My question is, is Steen beating anybody anywhere? Heinselman not noted for being great on top put Steen on his back rather easily.

Heinselman is a fifth year Sr ranked #10 and 19-2 for the season. Steen is an undersized freshman forced into the lineup due to Howard’s injury. Let’s give both wrestlers a little credit here.

It's a little crazy the tailspin that Nick Suriano put Penn State on at 125 when he decided to leave. Robbie Howard's injury situation certainly hasn't helped and has created a perfect storm at the weight class that for most has seemed like a black hole for the past 5-6 years. Someone previously mentioned Brandon Courtney from Arizona St given the situation there with Richie Figueroa....no idea if Figueroa has won that spot or if Courtney is injured (word is that he is hurt and could possibly medical redshirt). It will be interesting to see how ASU handles that and if they can keep both wrestlers happy. Maybe Courtney moves up to 133 next year, or maybe he is a transfer candidate. Getting a former national finalist would be a big pickup for Penn State and fill the biggest gap in the lineup at the moment. Maybe Howard will be ready to go next year, but will he be able to hold 125? We'll also need a 133 for next year and probably can't depend on an incoming true freshman to fill that spot.

I wouldn't go as far as saying he is an embarrassment to the sport and has no class, but he bitched and moaned the whole night(trying to steal a call) and by the end of the match was extremely frustrated with the lack of effort at 197 and Hwt. I said he was a nice guy to talk to, the few times I met him, not that I agreed with his "mat side coaching antics"!

Healthy Howard top 4 at 125 next year if healthy

I really want to like Tom Ryan because from what I’ve seen off of the mat he seems like a decent guy, but his antics during matches make it really hard.

Ryan’s guys wrestle hard, he expects it and their guys always bring it.

The last two guys Friday night mailed it in and he was clearly frustrated by it. Someone in their corner yelled “ do something “ during HWT.

Steiber appears to be the most vocal.
