Prequels generally bother me, with a few rare exceptions like Rogue One (which wasn’t really a prequel like most are with a clean slate for cast and story).

I was expecting Hawkeye to be a big part of it, but he’s not in the trailer, or listed on IMDB. Interestingly, RDJ is rumored to appear as Tony Stark.

It would be cool for them to have included an appearance by Phil Coulson, but it doesn’t seem likely.

Interesting. It says that it takes place in 2016. I thought ti was going to be a prequel/origin type story, but apparently not. That explains why there is no Hawkeye and explanation of his adventures with BW in Budapest. That would also prevent Coulson from appearing since he was "dead" by that time. Fury was in hiding, so he would be unlikely to appear also.

At that time, BW was running what was left of the Avengers. Captain America and Falcon are in hiding and Bucky and Black Panther are in Wakanda. Hawkeye and Ant Man are on house arrest and wearing ankle bracelets.

I'm pretty excited about the Taskmaster being in it. I always thought he was a great comic book villain.

Is that not him 16 seconds in?

Yes, Hawkeye and Fury are in the trailer. However, they are not listed on IMDB, so I assume those shots are flashbacks and scenes we have already seen (or possibly previously shot and edited out of a prior movie).

They looked like shots from the original Avengers to me, but I wasn’t looking closely.

Also, let's not forget. MCU movies have often had scenes in the previews that were later altered or omitted for the actual released version.
