Blacksburg's 1's had a very good scrimmage last Friday night against Northside - 5 TDs to 1. What was unexpected was how physical Blacksburg's defense was. There's not much depth, but if the first 11 stay healthy the Bruins defense could carry them until the sophomore quarterback, Grant Johnston (former three-year starter Isaac's little brother) gets his feet wet in extended varsity action.
