I might be off in my calculations, but Bloom might be the only school standing in the way of Glenbard West being 8A.

Bloom (4-4) plays Rich East (4-4) on Saturday.

Bloom had 31 play-off points to start they day.

Andrew W
Rich Central W
Kankakee W
Crete Monee W

Hammond Gavit L
Lincoln Way West L
Rich South L

Can't find the Chicago Collins score. With a Collins WIN, Bloom would be at 36 playoff points. A loss by Collins leaves Bloom at 35 points. (assuming 5-4 with 36 points get you down to the next tie-breaker)

Again, I am no Soucie, but that's how I see things right now.

Souc said 37 pts is the cutoff,...

Do all classes use the same cut off point (37) or can it vary from class to class? I am under the assumption it is one number for all classes but someone at the LWW game tonight told me otherwise.

LWW really needs a Bloom win tomorrow to help them out

If Bloom loses or doesn't make it due to playoff points, then Glenbard West most likely in 8a. Maine South in 8a for sure due to Plainfield South loss.

I believe Glenbard West would be around #20 in 8A. They fall right after LWE at Lyons.

The playoff points cutoff is the same for every playoff team. If the cutoff is 37, that doesn't mean there are necessarily teams with 37 in every class. Remember, classes are completely meaningless until the 256 teams are determined. At that point, the 32 biggest teams become 8A, and so on.... all the way down to 1A.

Hammond Gavit was a playoff game so they don't count. What hurt Bloom is that Bogan forfeited to Hammond Gavit.Gavit should have had 6 wins.I pointed that out to the IHSA who was very very happy I found that. However since Gavit is in Indiana and the winner of the forfeit it is up to the IHSAA to see fit how that game is counted.A no brainer would be a win for Gavit. The IHSA told me the IHSAA did not see it that way so it was considered a non game.Stupid if you ask me.So that cost Bloom a very very important playoff point

Thanks for the verification. That is what I thought but the person I was talking with had put some doubt in my mind so I thought I would ask.

Soucie confirmed Bloom out. GW is 8A playing NV at NV in round 1.

Gonna have to figure out what GN did right last night

Glenbard north is a talented team with very talented skills guys and those skill guys play both ways (DBs). NV talented as well, but most of the talent is concentrated in their receivers and linebackers in my opinion. Also heard NV was playing without one of their starting LBers last nite, but it wouldn't have made any difference in the game in my opinion. They also have one good Dlineman (normally plays Strong side DE).

Not sure what the film swap protocol is;). And which 2 games you get for scouting purposes?;);) And which two get sent to NV;);) I've always wondered if coaches can request the two games they want to see for scout, or if it is always the most recent 2 games or if there is even any swapping and coaches have to get from other opponents? Anyone know what the professional protocol is on game film swapping?
