Sounded really loud on tv today...BBN. Watch other SEC teams play. No body in stands unless CATS are in town. Greatest fans......
....... and I love every minute of it.Originally posted by Kampus Korner:
This has to drive home fans crazy when UK shows up in such numbers.
Excellent Report. THanks for representing us in a classy way.Originally posted by Cat Fan 4 Life:
I've been to every game down here the last 8 years and I told my wife coming out of halftime that it was unusually quiet. The SC fans are usually jumping up and down to Sandstorm but I felt like if we had a 10 point lead at the half they would be sitting on their hands. We were on the baseline behind the SC bench and there were definitely more SC fans than UK fans around us and they had nothing to say to us. You could see their frustration when the GO BIG BLUE chants got going and they could do nothing. The area behind the basket on the end where we were it was almost all blue as well as the upper decks. I watched an event well before the game started on the other end where they made some girl wearing blue in the SC student section cover up her blue while everyone around her was chanting KICK HER OUT, KICK HER OUT. I know they are just kids but their students and their chants are just juvenile and it is no wonder they grow up to be jackass SC fans. I knew they were honoring the football team at halftime and wanted to bring a sign with the score of our football game against them in the fall (I was there for that too) or at least one that said "But We Won" but as much as I despise SC fans I couldn't bring myself down to their level. All in all we had a great time and enjoyed seeing BBN out in full force. Always proud to be UK fan!

We live in Columbia and always go to this game, too. The upper deck was completely blue and a lot of the lower arena was also. Kentucky had more fans there, as usualOriginally posted by Cat Fan 4 Life:

Just got back home from the game as well.Originally posted by IIIBradIII:
Just returned from the game. The big blue mist took over Columbia just like we do every year. I don't know how many their arena seats but we easily were nearly half. I'd put it at 55% them, 45% BBN. If it weren't for their students we'd have had the majority. I love attending this game every year and seeing the mist settle in.
