Moonshine cooked and served in house. The Ole KY way to economic gains...I know NIL has changed everything but somehow the University has to come up with an alternative answer to gain funding.
Didn’t it used to be like $10-$15 to go? Hell nah to $100.Used to be my favorite pre-season event to go to. But, if $100 is the cheapest seat I guess that will be a thing of the past for me.
I could see paying $1,500 for a Final Four seat, but for a practice that is the equivalent of a layup line? These ticket prices are insane up to $1500. GTFOH. If that is the way tickets are heading I’ll never see another game again. I’m all for club blue being a side thing. No way a scrimmage to see the team should cost go from $10-$25 a seat to $125-$1500 now with a measly. 20% discount for club blue members. No thank you. I can barely afford gas, utilities, rent, and food right now and I make pretty damn good money and don’t live a frivolous lifestyle.
Not if but when. It’s gonna hit hard soon.If there's ever a serious economic downturn, people attending live sporting events at exorbitant prices will be the first luxury item to go.
Now that is funnyI was raised in a middle class family....
That price is crazy high. Why not just add 300 bucks to each season ticket holder thats 6 million dollars why ask the fans who can least afford it pay. Wonder how many kids show up .This NIL **** sounds like a scamI was shocked to see the prices online. I get the NIL aspect but I’m going to be fascinated to track the amount of tickets in these sections actually selling. Here are the tiers of pricing for non Club Blue folks like myself:
$125
$185
$310
$525
$1550
Not surprised that in all of the promotion on KSR today that this wasn’t mentioned.
I’d love to know if anyone is planning to buy one of the tickets $310 or above.
For the blue white game. A meaningless scrimmage. They’ll REALLY need to promote the features of the event and even then I just don’t know.
It'll be the death of college athletics. That price is crazy high. Why not just add 300 bucks to each season ticket holder thats 6 million dollars why ask the fans who can least afford it pay. Wonder how many kids show up .This NIL **** sounds like a scam
Yep, it's been $10 every year I've gone and I've gone to quite a few over the last decade or so. $100, I'll stay home and miss it as no scrimmage is worth that kind of money. I loved watching it and getting to know the players but it is still just a scrimmage.Didn’t it used to be like $10-$15 to go? Hell nah to $100.
Those prices, if real, are unbelievable for what is just a scrimmage outing for the fans to get to know the team better. That's just crazy and I'll not be in the stands this year. Even at $10 a ticket, in the past, they never came close to filling the stands for this scrimmage game.I was shocked to see the prices online. I know me too but I can’t pay that, ridiculous and that’s for the worst seats. I can’t imagine paying $500 a seat to watch a scrimmage that I can actually see. $1500 is ludicrous .Yep, it's been $10 every year I've gone and I've gone to quite a few over the last decade or so. $100, I'll stay home and miss it as no scrimmage is worth that kind of money. I have a feeling the turnout won’t be large. I’d rather than create a t-shirt or some special gear where they can fund NIL at least you get something for it other than just a scrimmage. Make it affordable for people to watch I mean wow. Those prices, if real, are unbelievable for what is just a scrimmage outing for the fans to get to know the team better. That's just crazy and I'll not be in the stands this year. Even at $10 a ticket, in the past, they never came close to filling the stands for this scrimmage game.
I feel like this year with all of the excitement, $10.00 a ticket would have had a wonderful turnout. But $100? I don't see that doing well at all. Those prices, if real, are unbelievable for what is just a scrimmage outing for the fans to get to know the team better. That's just crazy and I'll not be in the stands this year. Even at $10 a ticket, in the past, they never came close to filling the stands for this scrimmage game.
We will find out soon enough.People will pay it. It's a social event for enough folks. They wouldn't price themselves out of butts in seats and generating money.
You may be right but they had very limited crowds for Blue/White games in the past when the price was just $10 and folks like us could afford to go. The new excitement of the coaches and team plus a newly renovated and beautiful Memorial Coliseum may prove you right but I'm not one of those who can afford to go with such prices and was one of the few who always went in the past. Seems like they are playing to the big bucks people and NIL with this one.People will pay it. It's a social event for enough folks. They wouldn't price themselves out of butts in seats and generating money.
Thanks for the explanation, Mitch.A lot of poor people in this thread. It's an NIL event and true practice, with a real scrimmage (not the typical blue/white dunk fest) with the coaches mic'd up, teaching you what they do and why. If someone said they could get you in a real UK practice for $100-300, a lot of folks would bite.
Again, this is the near era and if UK is going to compete, they have to put on events like this.

Bingo. $1200 for a family of 4. Crums thinks he's cool, but everybody's rich on the internet. And good looking...Thanks for the explanation, Mitch.
But it’s still a practice.. correct?
Kinda wanted to take my family.
Any chance you get it on local tv for the poor but true fans? You can get nil paid for the telecast as well!
