Come on now guys. You know as well as I do that he was either hacked or more than likely someone who works on his twitter account (because we all know none of these coaches actually tweet themselves) was on a site they weren't supposed to be on. We also know that the way Twitter is set up that it is very easy to "fat finger" the like button. It's right there and can be hit by accident at any time while just trying to scroll down the page. We've all been there before.

Now I am sure you guys will try and blow this into a huge story and Matty Bangs will no doubt have a 2 hour show plus an additional one hour special dedicated to this. But if you take your fan glasses off, we all know that Bobby didn't do this because 1) he doesn't oversee his twitter account and 2) it was either a hack job or more than likely a case of hitting the button while scrolling the Twitter feed.

Let me just remind you that it is very probable with Bobby following over 2,500 people that one of the people he follows re-tweeted this, causing it to show up in his feed. Then as someone (not Bobby) scrolled the page, accidentally hit the like button. Like I've said, we've all been there done that.

Just to push it a bit further, this is such a non story that it is not even being addressed on our Rivals site.

Nobody cares what you think. If it were somebody hacking, they would do more than like a tweet.

That is hilarious though.

But you are over here talking about it, guilty conscience?
No guilty conscience. Just feel the need to defend what is certainly going to be a lot of misinformation being thrown around. At least it gives people who can be objective a look at all of the facts and possibilities. Those people will see what I am saying will most likely brush this incident away as nothing since that is obviously what it is. There are obviously some that are so biased in everything ala Matty Bangs that will skew the truth and ignore that actual facts. Or will only look at it from one side and side with whatever makes his side look or feel better.

Meh, you're not very good at doing the fake UL fan thing. Never have been, but this one makes it way too obvious. Subtlety is your friend.

As far as the story, 50% chance Petrino was "relaxing" after a long week of practice and 50% chance a staffer with access to his account was.

Maybe he shouldn't let anybody else have access to his account in the future...:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

My guess is, since "others" are under scrutiny right now it's THAT UNKNOWN coach working some deal for the Minardi Parties...they are drawing 5* recruits nowadays..

It's believable that a staffer could of forgot he was on Petrino's account and not his own. I have a couple of Twitter accounts (one parody) and I know the app makes it very simple to switch back and forth.I have mistakenly tweeted from the wrong account once and several times almost mistakenly tweeted from the wrong account.

But because it's Petrino and it's his past, it's hilarious. Just purely hilarious.

It's so funny how fast UL fans respond to anything on here about them. You know they're lurking. Nobody is ever on their rivals site so they all come here.

Cantmissprospect would prove this wrong as a Benedict Arnold. Me as well. I just like to see who the turncoats are. The difference is that I don't chip in to the UK bashing threads any more (used to years ago to try to see a different point of view).

I'd just suggest you don't worry about their site. They have several posters who bring even the most UL of subjects into a UK bashing light.

I do appreciate a few posters over there, however. There are genuinely a few good ones and I miss posting over there because of them. I digress.

Just because they lurk doesn't mean they're inherently malicious. I'm more than happy to see UL posters or other teams' posters. We often get so caught up in what our own fans say that we really need an outside opinion from time-to-time.

[eyeroll] So I guess Drew Deener is a fake too. They were discussing the exact same thing this morning on the radio. What is your problem anyway dude? We are on the same side here.

Petrino doesn't touch his Twitter account...and neither does Mark Stoops.
so does does stoops have a history of lying, sneaking around, cheating on his wife, or hiring women he intends to sleep with? then no... petrino funny. we know it wasn't real but the humor is in bob's past history. he is pig pin... stink follows him and every little slip up will be magnified. enjoy the pig trough tina.

Provide a link to that tweet. I don't see it.

Its been removed/unliked in the last 30 minutes (as I would say a lot of coaches across the country are doing.) You can see in the pic that he has 14 likes and now conveniently he has 13.

Sure it was. Or someone could photoshop 14 and put that like in there.

I mean when a post is written in the manner in which you wrote that I felt like there was probably no meaningful banter going to come out of me addressing it and I would rather not get banned.

However I will say that Petrino past does make the event funnier and I will enjoy Petrino's tenure at UL as they don't award wins or trophies to coaches just for being "good guys."
