I've watched this video a few times before after seeing a few bobcats on my property this year.

Rattler has produced more bass over the last few years so, I have to pick Rattler.

Saw a bobcat Saturday morning while deer hunting. First time I saw one in person. Been seeing them on trail camera. I haven’t seen a rattlesnake on my property but people say they’re around here. I live near the knob Forrest in Lebanon junction.

Rattlers often look like small logs. They are that thick. Biggest concern is stepping on one. I have been close and they never rattled. Worked with a guy that got bit about 8 hours into his career. Bad luck. Because of the way they birth their young they are not as common as copperheads.

I have spent a great deal of 34 year career in the woods and can still count Bobcat's on one hand. I am sure a lot more of them saw me.

Not too far away. My property runs along the Fort Knox reservation. Local news did an article in 2020 about this on a road a couple miles from my house. Had to have come my way as the opposite direction of Tunnel Hill road you run into the city part of Elizabethtown.

We have bobcats, coyotes, bears and copperheads around here, but so far no rattlesnakes on the property.
Definitely a lot of copperheads. I try to keep as much of the land clean as possible but they blend in with the leaves and everything. Almost picked one up by accident 3 weeks ago picking up broken branches and blowing leaves.

One day here this summer I saw a bear get a hornets nest near the house. I later killed 2 copperheads that day. In order I would rather have the bear close to me, then the copperheads, and last hornets or yellowjackets.

That's one reason why I'd rather see a bear or bobcat before a snake as they are harder to see coming. Sometimes step right over them before noticing it or in my case 3 weeks ago nearly picked it up accidently with my eyesight getting worse. I do not like coyotes hanging around their packs and hear them gathering at night somewhere on my neighbor's land close to the CSX rail line that runs along 65 in E'town. Foxes don't bother me and have had both on my property. Hate coyotes after an experience I had as a young boy riding my bike, mistakenly thought it was a dog and said something to it passing by. It chased after me getting within a few inches to my foot as I peddled my *** off to get away. Fortunately it got worn out but I didn't stop peddling fast until out of sight. Never mistaken a coyote for a dog since.

Every coyote I've ever come across has run. With the exception of two packs that were on each side of me as I was walking dogs at night, and you could tell they kept getting closer and closer. I had big chow lab mixes hoping those coyotes kept coming. They had surrounded one about a week earlier and I got them to back off.

This one might have had rabies as aggressive as it was acting out in the middle of day time. You are right, they usually will take off from you alone which makes me think something was up. They're a lot more brazen in their packs. I worry about them with my dogs and stay with them when I let them out of the house.

Saw a rattler this summer slowly slithering towards a big bush. A squirrel came out, and kept getting within 2 feet of this BIG rattler and was yelling at him. Imagine he was saying “this is my house, go away.” The rattler raised its head, put it back down and went into the bush….

I mentioned in the mountain lion thread Dad was a game warden. He killed a rattler on Ft. Knox that was 5' long, and as thick as a roll of toilet paper! Cut its head off with his pocket knife!! Dad was a badass. Best shot I ever saw too. Biggest rattler I ever saw live was down in Florida. Driving down 2 lane hwy, and one started across the road in front of us. It's head was almost at the yellow line, and it's tail was just inside the white line!

One spring, friend killed 3 rattler and 5 copperhead from the same hole. All were about 2' long. This was out towards Fordsville.

Cats have some of the quickest if not THE quickest reflexes in nature. Anyone whos ever seen a cat tag a dog in a fight knows this. Their reaction time is about double what ours is. One of the reasons they can land on their feet when dropped.
