Peace be with his family, friends and teammates. There, but for the Grace of God, go I.

As we move into prime chest-pounding and nose-rubbing season, let's please remember that these are just children playing these games. They have families and friends. The posters on these boards are not these kids and maybe not their families. They don't speak for the kids or their schools or their teams. Don't wish ill on these boys because of stupid things that idiots may say here. As they say, life is too short.

This makes my heart hurt. Prayers for him and his family.
Prayers to his family.
Quick question, how is a kid from country club hills playing in the Chicago public league? I am not too familiar with the boundaries but thought all the playersin that league had to be from Chicago proper.

I'm guessing he has one parent in the Bogan district and one in CCH. Or maybe the family moved to CCH after the season started? I'm not sure of the specific rules around this.

MORGAN PARKS best defensive player lives in calumet city! And I once dropped a kid off at 71st and Yates and saw a kid wearing an OAK PARK letterman jacket with "wresting" on it. I asked him where he lived? He pointed to a house on the south side- it happens All the time. It's called "recruiting" ILLEGAL but very true.

Paper said he lived with a family friend.Seen many forfeits as a result of that. Again the death of the boy is sad but rules must be followed.
