I will start another thread on this soon, but you then look over at OakTree st and they now have what can be considered the clearest path. They brought in Taylor, and they are suppose to have a Billionaire backer? There was a debate going back and forth about "could they challenge F*** st " next year, 2 years, 3 years?????
I would say, MAYBE in 2 years IF EVERYTHING goes right, but on paper as of right now, NO one has a remote shot this year or next!!!
NOW- the POS ncaa, has made it the wild west, F*** st started playing by thier own rules BEFORE the fiasco started and rolled right into it with a full head of steam!!!! EVERYONE has to play chase now and they have to have the ability to SKIRT the rules!!!!
MEANWHILE, I, the one who has with UNCANNY accuracy PREDICTED the future!!!! Is here TELLING you all what is about to come CRASHING down!!!! I do not see ANY future for MOST D1 teams!!!! I do NOT see ANY reason why a skool/AD would keep them!!! I do not see many good reasons why any kid would want to wrestle at some of these places!?!?!??
AND I know because I did it!!!! I wrestled in college at a skool who could care less about us(which eventually ENDED the program) Where MOST students didn't even know what REAL wrestling was!!! You did it because you LOVED IT!!! You did it to reach GOALS that were mostly a dream!!!
The SPORT is a DINOSUAR!!!! The TIME, ENERGEY , SACRIFICE, PAIN you have to put into it, is something that is fading away!!!!
So, if I am a decent HS wrestler, I have a shot to go to a LOW level D1 program that has NO support, fans etc..... OR I can go D2 and maybe get into one of the better programs. What choice do I make? This is one thing, there are many others that have watered down COMPETITION!!!
For example, There was a kid from a skool I coached at, who never won a County title(regionals or state qualifier to some)!!! He went on to WIN the D1 ncaa!!!!!! <<<<<This type of stuff may NEVER happen again!!!! CARLTON Haslrig who wrestled in my college Regionals. BEST HEAVY of ALL time out of lil D2 Pitt Johnstown!!!! <<<<< NOPE, can not happen!!!!
