We need a loss from Western Michigan.
Aresco indicates the CFP committee recognizes the strength of the AAC OOC scheduling and overal record of 10-1 vs G5 (20-2 since 2015), will hold a fair amount of weight. IMO, 2 loss AAC champion is the threshold, 3 losses likely jeopardizes that weight.

Q What is a Western Michigan
A 8-0 Likely ranked 17th or 18th after this week. Probably going to win their next three games and be ranked somewhere around 15th then. We need them to lose once.

Undefeated 13-0 and ranked 15th or better is going to stack up pretty decently with 11-2 AAC. It won't be an automatic decision, but it would be a tough call and could go either way. Our record this year is not so stellar against G5's. The upper half of our conference is 1-6 against G5's with ND v Navy next week. So at best 2-6.

Regardless they will probably lose to Toledo and/or Ohio(Championship) anyway. Win out and we're probably in. We probably won't be ranked until Navy. It's going to be hard to chase them in the rankings with only two regular season games left(UCF & Cincinnati) if they are undefeated.

We need Northwestern to lose as much as possible. That might be their signature win. They also have a win over Illinois. Every other win is in MAC, Sun Belt, or FCS.

Not that it matters much but I forgot to mention Houston v Louisville. They probably lose that one by a bundle to a team that deserves to be in the top 5/10.(They're no OU patsy) So 2-7 or 1-8 depending on whether Navy takes Notre Dame. Certainly not as impressive as the last couple of years.
