I can't even convey how sick I am of hearing him talk about how well we practice, and "practice matters around here!" Practice matters, but it would appear that winning games doesn't...

For all of the sunshine pumpers that have been active the last couple of days; please take note that Shane Beamer, not any poster is placing this expectation upon himself and his program. I can probably speak for the majority of regular posters in saying we have no expectation of the CFP next season. We would however like to see a winning season, a competent OC & improvement in offensive play all around, along with continued reliable defense. Maybe that translates to a CFP appearance. It didn't have to result in the playoffs, and we all could have lived with that. But now Beamer's saying they'll be there. So if no CFP, then there should be no Beamer after 2026.

Shane, please start living in the now-instead of boasting about how much we beat A&M last year or next year's greatness. Desperate to keep the fans engaged.

Right. Around this time next year we'll all be watching to see the school introducing Shane's new replacement.
I would like to add that I would also like to see a maturing Shane Beamer.
I appreciate optimism and confidence. I think it's an essential trait in a coach.
But you can't say stuff like that when you can't even tell us which players are going to be on the team next year. You can't say we'll be one of the 12 teams out of 130-something who make the playoff when you don't even know who our starting quarterback will be. You don't know who our OC will be. For that matter, you don't know who our DC will be. It's a hollow prediction, not based on anything.

I would agree 100%, except a statement like that might come from a few players on the team telling him they are coming back.

Otherwise, yeah. Each year is a rebuild. Hard to make bold predictions lile that.
