K has cut minutes for upperclassmen in the past when a more talented freshman arrives.Paulus immediately comes to mind

Make no mistake, Matt isn't anywhere near a lock down defender. He is ok at best. All this crap I hear on here about Matt being a great defender is a joke. He's slow and consistently gets beat off the dribble. Luke is making huge strides on D and I think before the season is over he will be the better defender.

What does that even mean? Exceed how? Run the point? Not happening as frank isn't even a true pg now in HS. Can he play it some? Sure, but he isn't comfortable running a team the way Thornton is. DT is helping run a college team basically as a HS senior. Give the kid a break.
Matt and Grayson aren't true points, either, and we've gone w/ one of them over Derryck some already this year. If Derryck's growth curve models Quinn's, he won't have a certain spot at the top of the rotation until his senior year.

Derryck's decision-making is what needs the most work, and that's a much easier thing to come by through experience than the effort it takes to develop a shot.

We're in a fight for Bolden but if his evaluation is accurate, he'd be a welcome low-post addition likely to get serious minutes @ the 5. I read in the past his parents like Duke but he favors UK (they attract 4s/5s like we attract 2s/3s, apparently.) We may have several months of waiting before he decides...

No post-mortem on the visit but a little background: http://bit.ly/1OGS5P3

"I'm not really trying to get it over with, but I have it down in my head to the schools that I'm really thinking about so I'm not really going through the eliminating process because I pretty much did that," Bolden told Rivals.

"I really don't try to put pressure on myself (to decide) or have somebody put that stress on me. I'm really trying to take it slow and day-by-day and not trying to think of me being a class changer."

The fact the Duke staff visited Young right after Bolden, should tell everyone how K feels about his chances of landing Bolden.

I'm not saying this is the case but most on here fleet saying "K needs depth, need more bigs" then the staff goes to see another big play and that automatically means no bolden (which it may) but isn't that exactly what y'all want?!

Based on what, exactly? Only people very close to Bolden know what's up. Anything else is pure speculation.
You'll be surprised to know that recruiting threads contain a lot of speculation. In this case, KU may lose its top 3 bigs this year = playing time and Bolden's mentor played the same role for Terrence Jones = UK connections.

Dude, why are you so argumentative?

Try to keep up.

So the answer is that it was based on speculation. Seems like Crank kept up just fine.

So you answered my question, clarifying my point, then asked why I'm "argumentative".

Awesome :)

It's funny how you only single out certain posters, when some of your buddies and yourself blast posters with vulgar belittling comments. It's ok to blast posters but criticism of players and coaches is unjust? I make a pun on words and you're panties are all in a bunch. What should i call Matt's shooting at end of games? Poor, not smart, nervous, mentally weak? Ks just defending a player so his confidence doesn't get even more shaken by calling him their rock. I have no doubt he's a great game and locker room leader, but chemistry doesn't look lacking, our play does. No one was blasting posters for calling out kennards early season brick shooting performances? Matt gets a special pass because he's coaches favorite? What should we call k's going to zone in back to back games and getting slashed apart every possession, or maybe it's his inability to coach zone? Is that allowed to be criticised?

Well stated. Anyone who is rude to posters b/c they find them rude about a player (in their opinion) is hypocritical.

It's simply unnecessary and that person loses all moral high ground. And, it's not as though you (or most others) are criticizing the human being. It's a critique of their game - that may have some legitimacy. And, it's not as though they are ridiculing the player in front of their teammates.
