Last I heard on Boley, UK was getting some crystal balls and people felt confident that a pledge might come this summer. Anyone know if that’s still the case? If he’s truly open to all ten schools it might take a little longer I think.

Well, regardless of what happens, it’s good to be pictured next to those schools. Even better if we beat them out.
We were saying this the first couple of years of Stoops’ tenure, but I think we have moved beyond being happy to be listed with top players.

We are nearing a fifty percent former-4-Star-roster, especially with transfers.

More like a top 3 or 4 at this point
It would do Cutter much good to commit this early and help build the class around him.

And should we miss on his early commitment, we appear to be in pretty good shape with two other high 4 Star talents.

It’s so nice to be a strong defensive program, but also draw in a Coen-type-talent at OC, to build that side of the ball.

The next 5 seasons will likely define the greatest heights Stoops can attain at UK. I’m not predicting a Natty, but I think we have yet to peak under Stoops.

That isn't always true with QBs. Some commit a year early to help build their class. But that was in the past too, with NIL and the portal about not much anyone can predict with any kind of confidence.
Boley is actually Sr that was gonna take the extra covid year and most likely go play for school like IMG. Since he has the credits yo be a sr this year he is already taking OV. So their is a good chance he moves back to '24. Judging by who most say is his final 3-4 the others already have their qb.

As others have said, the big thing about getting a QB commit early is he helps bring in other players. I wonder where he’ll be ranked among the ‘24 quarterbacks if/when he reclasses.

If he reclassifies, he will be a top 100 recruit still, maybe top 50. They have their top recruits coming in with him. Initially he had mentioned moving back a week and coming with all the guys the 16th but now the 9th is loaded. If it goes to plan he will be back the 16th recruiting. By the end of June if he commits as is widely expected, I think he will have several join him. It could be a huge month for UK recruiting

I believe this is where we are, how it plays out remains to be seen. Stoops has UK where it hasn't been since the days of Bear Bryant(a chance to get on the national stage)

I mean, the SEC as you know like all of us, is just different. So many injuries, seems like it is almost like a 50/50 deal whether you can stay healthy or not. But yeah, whether it be Leary or another established good QB we bring in next year Boley will have a year to learn. Like you said, they want a proven experienced QB ready to go a year from now.

Holyshat, that timetable moved up fast!!

Speciation on my part.....he picks Kentucky now, reclassing to 2024....because he wants to be a leader, helping attract a great 2024 recruiting class. Many top targets will be visiting early June.
If he commits then doesn't reclassify, It will probably be tougher for us to hold onto him. I like the thought of him reclassifying and helping build a monumental 2024 signing class.
