If they really wanted a money grab that could have required a separate ticket for each event.

I think when RU played Wisconsin in the event 4 years ago the B1G hockey game at night was a separate ticket.

That's a bit harsh. Places like MSG make it almost impossible for families to enjoy an event without robbing a bank first.

It’s not meant to be “harsh.” My point stands. Our fans will complain about anything and everything. Also It’s not gonna cost $200 to have lunch with three kids at Madison Square Garden. That’s complete ********.

The reason there was a huge dinner break in the past is because it takes hours to switch from basketball to hockey (or vice versa). Switching wrestling to basketball will take 30 minutes. There's going to be 90 minutes between events with 30 of those minutes being pre-game/warmsups so there's no need to make it a double admission event. Wild how people find a reason to complain about anything.

Yeah the $200 and $150 comments are flatout dumb. Come on posters, you're better than that. Unless with your two kids, you're planning on downing 5 IPAs in that 90-minute span, the kids are getting ginormous memorabilia-style sodas that come with Knicks jerseys, and you're ordering from the secret concourse menu that offers lobster and filet mignon, no way you're getting close to even $150. I'm with @AreYouNUTS on this one.

The only way you’re hitting $150-$200 with kids who aren’t 21+ is if you’re counting stuff like popcorn and cotton candy in that total, which you’d still be buying anyway even if you went out to lunch and came back to MSG.

The only train station it costs $20+ to park is at Secaucus. And if you go from threes the train ticket is less than $10 round trip.

parking at Metropark is about $6.

My wife will drive me to the train station. I think it's $26 for the train. Match/game tickets are $47. Then I'll drink $60 worth of beer. Gets me to approximately $133.

@bac2therac I was talking ONLY the meal inbetween events because I thought the posters above were only talking the meal. If they meant meal PLUS tickets PLUS parking and train/driving then absolutely, 100% you're looking at at least a $150-$200 day for sure. But for one adult and 2 kids for a meal in the MSG concourse, no way you're flirting with 200 bucks for that, unless everyone has bottomless appetites. Close to $100? Perhaps, yeah depending on how much is ordered for each person.
