Has Boogie going #17 if he stays 1 more year he could be a lottery pick. Might be a smart move to stay in college.
Also has Amari and Jax going early in the second this year with Brea and Carr later on. Dang!

Boogie would do well to return to college. Seems like he fits the mold of one of those Cal guys that really just needs an extra couple semesters.

That would be a miracle.

He’s covering his bases in case he gets really negative feedback from the draft process, but I’d be surprised if he comes back to college.

Absolutely no reason to explain anything. He valued the NBA more than it valued him. He knows that if he isn't drafted, he could get more in college. He is keeping his options open. Smart decision by Fland.
smart decision by Fland’s agent.
but I disagree, if you can get drafted into the NBA within the first 40-45 picks, you go to the league, IMO. College ball feels unsettled at best right now. This looks like a strong draft class and that’s a good thing for an Oweh return.

He was 1 and done. Smart to keep options open because we don't have room for him anymore.
Yeah, I agree completely about keeping options open. Just wild how other team fans are here so much and so quickly. Not saying it’s wrong, just wild to me. With this board being so active, I guess it makes sense.

I post here a lot KY is my 2nd favorite team.
And yes our BB forums are dead this time of year because of baseball.

so are you saying that most of your fanbase does not have the mental capacity to multitask a couple of message boards

It's all about getting that 2nd contract.
Rushing to the NBA does decrease the amount of time until you’re eligible for a 2nd contract. There’s real value to that.

But for some players, rushing can also decrease the likelihood of actually securing a lucrative 2nd contract, if you even secure one at all.

So it’s not necessarily wise to think of quickly getting to the NBA as a no brainer decision, if you are a player that legitimately has that 2nd contract as an attainable goal.

In terms of Fland specifically, I’ve not watched enough of him to have an opinion on whether he should stay or go. Hopefully he’s getting sound advice and makes a good decision.

Bama will be involved here. St. John's stupidity of promising PG spot to Ian Jackson....he'd have been perfect there. He should return to CBB due to his age-he's very young and has no reason to rush the process.
So Ian Jackson positioned himself as a pg? We’re we ever involved?

Could be, but were more of the sport playing school not just basketball. We have the BB forums and a recruiting BB section so more activity on the recruiting right now than the regular.
More replies on here about Boogie than ours because we know he's done.

It just says something about those individuals. They don’t have a life.

That's a true statement and then your opinion I can't dispute either.
I think entering the portal proves he's getting sound advice.

You don't have room for your best player last year? Wow, do you have Lee Mayberry, Corliss Williamson and Scotty Thurman coming back?
Somehow, Cal has convinced that fanbase that you don’t need a full roster. Arkansas will be a very poor shooting, Freshman talented team that will struggle with any lost game injuries.
They’ve lost their 2 best players and the 3rd best player is in the draft process.
I expect Cal to flame out next season.
