Have Iowa wrestling fans ever booed their own team at Carver?? I’ve only had season tickets since 2013 and I don’t recall it ever happening. Did it ever happen at the end of the Zalesky regime??

Not that I recall. And it should never, ever happen. No matter what.
Penn State is the only place I recall booing their wrestlers. Happened pretty recent.

You’re bat shi$# crazy. How many times have you been to SC to watch a PSU match? I’ve been a season ticket holder long enough to have seen 12 NCAA National Championship banners raised to the rafters in Rec Hall. Never, never, NEVER, have I heard ANY PSU fan boo one of our wrestlers.

I think you’re confusing when they booed Burroughs. Which was bad, but not booing someone on their NCAA team at an NCAA meet.

This isn’t the wrestling board. Football is a team sport. Individuals take the mat for the wrestling team. I suppose an Iowa wrestler could hear some boos if they get stalled out, but they round be a rarity, imo. That’s why I was asking. I’d never seen it at Carver in my years of having season tickets. Everyone has seen it at Kinnick.
I've seen Iowa fans boo plenty of other teams' wrestlers, most of them deservedly so, and plenty of worthless refs, and quite a few opposing coaches, but never Hawkeye wrestlers, even when they deserved it.

You also have a lot more fans who think because they played football in high school they know more than the coaches. Wrestling fans, in my opinion, whether they competed at a high level or not, tend to understand what it takes to get to this level. Someone could get teched tonight and there is a better than average chance that will happen, I doubt there will be anyone booing as long as the person gives effort. If the person flat out quits - then maybe and deservedly so.

Why some of you PSU fans, who follow a team that is currently lightyears ahead of Iowa, feel the need to come onto an Iowa board to defend your championship caliber team I will never understand.

In the 90s we had a wrestler get stalled out (or damn close) against isu. IIRC there were some boos that night.
It's rare but it has happened. We prefer to save our boos for the opponent, but lackluster effort (there were a few last weekend) could earn the ire of the crowd tonight!
On a bigger note, can we please retire the woo thing? Absolutely the worst!!!
