Now that most of these guys are professionals, is it ok to boo? What about booing the coaching staff?

Get the message across to get Satt fired, no matter what. Boo the team, boo your UofL fan priest, send boo emails to Heird, show no quit in sending Satterfield back to the mountains. He must go.

I always get a kick out of fans that think booing sends any message other than how stupid the fans are. The players and coaches completely understand they suck when they suck. Booing just reinforces they suck. It accomplishes nothing other than making the fans feel like they had a voice. Like booing is going to motivate them not to suck.

The "professional" issue is a new, valid caveat but the answer is that it's never appropriate to boo your own team. Plus, it's irritating to the rest of the fans. Not clapping or cheering if you attend, and not showing up, are acceptable forms of protest if you feel the need to act out.

Fans are 100% at a crossroads.

I think in general most fans and posters around here are reasonable. This program has been stuck in neutral at best and now appears headed in reverse. Not even going to get started on our other sport issue. But the combination of both sports problems is a lot to deal with for fans.

With players scooping up massive side $ and the revolving door of transfers it's fair to read a lot of the posts we are seeing and sharing. It's tough to hang in there as a fan. It's frustrating. You wait all summer for this and then get served that game @ Syracuse.

Fans booed Iowa football last week and they won! Granted, it was an ugly win. That said, fans are well within their rights to boo. Players transfer for less these days. I'm not worried about their feelings. They can dry their tears with their NIL money.

Nope. Don’t like it and don’t see it as a motivator. Don’t want to support them then don’t go.

Lol, no, it's definitely not a motivator. If anything, maybe the players will try less, so the process to fire that SOB can be expedited. The players quitting in 2018 led to Petrino's mid-season dismissal. Fans have a direct impact on the direction of their team.
