Anyone else watching? I’ve enjoyed it even though there have been a lot of references to Star Wars books and comics that I’m not familiar with. Apparently one of the characters that showed up in todays episode would make the fanboys squeal. Looked like a pretty badass dude.

Nothing super cute to pull in non-Star Wars folks, but it’s damn good storytelling so far.

I'm not some massive star wars fan so this might be a stupid question...but what was the point of this if the mandalorian already exists and was just made, isn't Fett also a mandalorian bounty hunter?

Boba Fett having this great backstory of an original trilogy character is what makes this show different from The Mandalorian.

I don’t think this is a spoiler, but I don’t get Boba as the head of a crime syndicate. Maybe that will be addressed or maybe it’s in all the books or something.

I'll probably check it out now that DisneySuperPlusMax is included with Hulu. I've read some reviews how episode 1 was rather muddled and nonsensical (Oh no, they cornered Boba Fett! Oh wait, he has a jetpack.) I'll give it a few episodes to find its stride, though.

I honestly felt that way overall about The Mandalorian. Muddled, flat, and nonsensical writing/stories a lot of the time. I mean sure, it was watchable, but nothing special. Given the sh!tshow that the most recent three story arc movies were, though, I think fans were ready to accept anything even semi-good.

Just my $0.02, but if you think otherwise, your opinion is probably wrong. 😁

Guessing he’s using the position to eventually benefit the Tuskens. Don’t think the crime lord thing is the goal, just means to an end.

Its great.

I forsee tusken raider as the hot Halloween costume this year 45 years after they first beat the crap out of Luke and got spooked by Obi-Wan.

Who would have thought Rudy's chunky best friend would birth the MCU and then save Star Wars? Wish they had put him in charge of the sequel trilogy.

It was good. Him getting out of the Sarlaac was pretty cool, and seeing Jabba's sail barge in ruins.

I thought the Wookie would end up with Fett but maybe that’s for later or another season.

The chase scene was ridiculous. Kind of disappointing that they included it. Did nothing for the story at all.

Also, seeing Stephen Root and Danny Trejo just kind of takes me out of the universe. I like it better when less well-know actors take those parts. I get it though.

The bikes were barely moving which I think pissed me off more than anything

That was a chase that I think someone on foot could have kept up with

I like it so far (admittedly I haven't seen the latest episode), but I do wish to see more of what Boba is known for in the future. Throughout the books and movies, Boba has established himself as one of the galaxy's premier bounty hunters. So far in this series it has covered his back story from Sarlacc.....and lays out him trying to establish roots as a crime lord. When is he going to hunt someone down?

Love Fennec as a character.....

Spoilers:

Another odd episode that didn’t really go anywhere. Flashbacks were cool though.

“Bad guys are coming. Let’s get together.”
“No.”
“OK, I’ll do it myself. Don’t stab me in the back.”
“OK”

Why doesn’t the big Wookie (not looking up the spelling) hate the lizard people?

Pretty cool music cue with the two notes from the Mandalorian theme when he takes down Fennec and Boba goes to rescue her.

Sarlacc is (was) a tough sunofabitch.

pretty cool sequence of The Firespray Slave 1  blowing **** and people up.

Rat Catcher: Eff this. *turns himself off*

Look like a cross between a Walmart Rascal and Pee Wee's bike.

Are we sure Joel Schumaker is not involved with this episode?

edit: I just learned Schumaker died in 2020, so maybe a tribute? :)

The stupid scene where Thundercat steampunk repaired his wingman was the worst thing in Mandolorian or Bobba Fett. Other than that, I thought it was ok.

This is not nearly as good as Mandolorian thus far but it ain't bad either.

Since no one is going to say it I'm just going to. Jennifer Beals looks really good as a Twi'lek.
Agreed. Makes you wonder if those things on their heads are erogenous in any way. If not, seems like a waste of skin.

So what is Grogu’s little gift? I think it’s a Beskar ball like Grogu kept stealing from the Razor Crest.

Notice how Mando had more movement when talking to Peli Motto. Like normal human gestures and mannerisms.

LOL Beggar’s Canyon. Wizard.

Now that they’ve got some muscle, Boba, Fennec, and Mando are about to eff some folks up.
