So the book is always better than the movie but have there been books that have completely ruined a good movie for you?

I’ve always loved the Shining movie. This month I finally read the book and then watched the movie and man, the movie is completely different. Now I know why King lost his crap.

I'm going to go with a book/movie combo that both ruin each other: If you read the book first, it kind of ruins the movie. And if you watch the movie before reading the book - you will hate it.

Have to go with the movie here since I assume Denise Richards did not take a shower in the book. That and some vague plot about killer bugs are the only things I remember about the movie.

She is not in the shower scene in the movie.

The only good bug is a dead bug.

I love that movie.

I'm reserving my judgement for the Meg movie coming out with Jason Statham the GOAT. The books are incredible and if they can do the movie right then it could be great.
