I don't know how you pick your posting ideas, but you are batting 1.000. LOL! Boom Williams would have to be crazy to try to leave UK now to enter the next NFL draft. Boom has everything to gain by coming back next year. By NFL standards, Boom is a small running back with a recent injury history. He hasn't proven that he can be a solid pass receiver, but that's what NFL teams want from smaller backs. At this point, Boom is a late round draft choice, at best. A year from now, Boom could be 1 of the best senior running backs in the country. If he plays another season under Eddie Gran and stays healthy, Boom can improve his draft stock by a couple of rounds. That means much better money and a better chance to stick on an NFL roster. Boom will almost surely be back in 2017.Thoughts??

Stupid, he may not even get drafted, worst decision of his life if he goes that way...Its Breaking on KSR....thats why i posted it...your welcome
Nope, I know. He is ranked as the 23rd best RB in the draft. The last 2 drafts there were 18 & 20 drafted. He needs to come back and prove to the scouts he can catch the ball out of the backfield, he needs to prove to scouts he can be valuable on special teams returning the ball. Now in 2 years if he stays healthy I will say Benny Snell should go, go go.I think Alot of posters just don't want him to leave, I don't either. It's weird because I'm the same way with Basketball players but 90% of rafter posters encourage leaving. You can't say it's because they can, and should because.....Boom can, and probably should if he is getting info he wants to hear and just because a poster thinks it's a stupid move doesn't make it true at all. We are not Boom, only he knows.

I don't know that he is really making noise on the radars at this point, he probably needs another 1000 yard season and for the squad to make some real noise in the SEC next year.
At best he is probably a 6-7 round pick right now. Another really good productive year could nudge him to a middle round prospect.
Agree.Any RB who has a chance to make it in the NFL should get there as soon as they can, Boom isn't going to get any bigger and not noticeably stronger or faster with another year in college. RB's have notoriously short careers, there is no guarantee Boom will improve his stock with another year in college, he has to weight the advantages of coming back, likely less backs in the 18 draft, he could show his hands off against the disadvantages a year shorter professional career or a serious injury. If he is like most backs he thinks he will make it as a return guy or 3rd down back wether he gets drafted or not.
I think that pretty well covers the situation. As much as I'd love to see him back, can't see that much to gain (career wise) from returning. He pretty much is what he is and he'll be the same player next year as well unless of course, he gets injured.
Key "phrase" I WANT HIM BACK! (Otherwise, he has everything to lose, by going to the NFL early!)Statistically, physically, and schematically not much will change for Boom between this year and next. I'd LOVE to have him back, but I'm not sure he feels the risk would be worth the reward (career wise) by returning, just my two cents. With that being said, I think he comes back regardless.
I believe Daddy runs the show.I hope he comes back, I'm sure he will do whats best for him and his family, however I'm not sure he is durable enough to hang around long in the NFL.
Draft choices are gold for an NFL GM. NFL scouts don't care how many times Boom has been a passing target at Kentucky. They only care whether he has proven he can do what they will need him to do. He hasn't proven those things yet.How many times has he been passed the ball as a reciever?
How do you know there won't be much change for Boom in the next year? With another offseason of work, he should be physically stronger. With Steve Johnson, the offensive scheme was very limited this year. 30% of snaps were wildcat. Johnson will be a different quarterback after an offseason of technique work with Coach Hinshaw. Most important for Boom is to prove he can stay healthy for a full season. Playing on the same team with Bennie and Rose gives him a great chance to do that. Next most important thing is to prove he can catch passes out of the backfield. In 2016, Johnson couldn't throw a swing pass accurately. Those are mechanical issues. In 2017, Johnson will be more sound after Hinshaw works with him. Then, next most important thing for Boom is to improve as a pass blocker. Boom isn't a bad pass blocker, but he can improve. That's important to NFL scouts. If Boom leaves now, he is a late round draft choice if he gets drafted at all, because he is a small back who can't stay healthy and hasn't shown receiver skills. A year from now, Boom can improve his stock to 3rd or 4th round if he stays healthy. He could become 1 of the best senior running backs in the country. Talking about a big difference there in money and security. So I agree, he stays.Statistically, physically, and schematically not much will change for Boom between this year and next. I'd LOVE to have him back, but I'm not sure he feels the risk would be worth the reward (career wise) by returning, just my two cents. With that being said, I think he comes back regardless.
Has Boom proven he can stay healthy and remain durable? No he hasn't. He has missed a lot of games in his career with concussions and arm injuries. He was dinged up for much of this season, wearing a brace, and scouts know it. Has Boom proven he can do the things that small NFL running backs have to do? No he hasn't. He isn't a pass receiver. He is a fair pass blocker, not a solid, consistent pass blocker. He didn't returned kickoffs this year because of his concussion history. So I disagree with what you are saying. If Boom leaves now, he is a late round draft choice with a very short NFL career. Actually, Boom has a whole lot to gain by coming back again and holding out for the 2018 NFL draft, as long as he is healthy in the meantime. That's the key for him.Blue runner and Wildcard are right. The amount of improvement that could be made vs the risk is low for Boom......meaning his draft stock isn't going to change much. The only thing that should possibly change his mind is how deep this RB draft class is. So, it might be best to leave.
Also be careful when you read/hear....."this website has him as the x-ranked RB in the draft." Every website/analyst will tell that's it's far too early for accurate rankings. The players don't truly get weeded out until late Winter.....early Spring.
