I think when he's not coming off as supremely arrogant he's incredibly uninformed, when he tries to come off being well informed he's insufferably myopic, when he comes off being aloof or above the partisan rancor, he's disinteresting and hopelessly boring, and when he tries to act as if none of any of that matters to him at all...that's when he's avoiding facts tucked away living safely inside his own reality of situational relativism.

That archeologist that doesnt post anymore. Dave has posted some legit info. There was another really religious guy that posted a while back, i dont think he posts anymore, he helped me learn a lot about perspectives opposite of mine.

other than boredom, my main goal for getting on here was to find out what i was missing about the love of Trump. I want to be a good educator, and that requires me to understand people’s perspectives, esp those different than my own. It also requires me to look past any differences of opinion and beliefs, and care about students and their families equally, so discussion with condescending people from opposite points of view is critical. In teaching history, government, and economics, meetings with parents over curriculum can get heated.

I want to be able to take the judgement and condescension in stride. Something I am not very good at - i like heated debate, but my place as an educator isnt to debate with parents, it is to understand them, their views, and comfort them in knowing their children arent being indoctrinated. So i needed to deal with my emotional shortcomings, by having people like you jack me up on this thread. Some of it has been really helpful. Some of it hasnt

I'm not articulate on purpose. I'm not trying to convince anyone to believe what I believe. I'm giving people a starting point to dig deeper and decide for themselves. That seems to rub people who have an agenda the wrong way.

So the guy who worked for the Government for 30 years explains to you that it's full of unelected people along with lobbyist who in their minds are running things and don't answer to you and yet you dismiss it. You can add large corporations and the CCP to that list also. They are all buying off politicians. You can call it deepstate or anything else you want. It's not a conspiracy theroy. I wont go alternative media for anything other than information i want to confirm or disprove. The Hill, the Guardian, FOX, CNN, WSJ, and the Atlantic are my most visited sources online.
