Shame how the program is already failing since K announced his retirement…
Jon really needs to have a breakout season next year to keep this momentum going. Thought people might be a bit nervous playing for a first time head coach but doesn’t seem to be the case
We could possibly have a starting 5 of Roach, Blakes, Moore, Whitehead and Flip. Possibly Keels as well.
I noticed at the scrimmages that Jon seemed to be running things. I think Coach is giving Jon more responsibility this year.
Jeff Capel was running most of the practices prior to him leaving for Pitt. Same with Jon the last three seasons.
Don’t think Blakes gets anywhere near the starting lineup. If Lively comes to Duke, will be interesting to see if they start Flip or Lively at Center. Only way there aren’t at least 3 Freshmen starting is if Roach, Moore and Keels comeback. Even then, will be a battle between Moore, Keels, Whitehead and Mitchell to see who starts at SF.
Assuming Jon carries on K's history of his trust in Senior leaders, I agree. I see no way a senior Moore is not a starter. And in this case I like the decision no matter who is competing for his minutes.
