This board is boring as a Tarboro conference game. Where's all the action?

I said end of season last year this was the end of 1A football and ncpreps as we know it. Will never be the same and switching to this new format many have not come over here from old site as it has been difficult in doing so. This site should have offered everyone to join free with a new log in.

HAHA that's a good one. We are in a new conference this year though, haha playing up a class, so the games should be more exciting. We are certainly happy for this.
Lol this was a accurate statement last several years. However this year and the next 3, it won't be any boring games for Tarboro in conference. Fans, players, and coaches are excited.
The jury is still out on that. Bigger don't always mean better.
True I still think Tarboro is the favorite to win the conference. But I'm pretty confident this conference for Tarboro will be more competitive than the last couple.
You are incorrect. August 2025 was the busiest month NCPreps has had in 15 years. Number #1 prep site in the network and 43 among all (college/high schools)
Nope. I created a new account as on3 helpdesk said my account didn't exist. I provided a username and email and they said couldn't find one. When I tried to sign in with old account info (email and password), it wouldn't let me. I tried to reset my password and I never got an email to do so, so I created a new account with the same email but different username as it said my old username was already in use.
For a while I was listed as a "new user" but I guess when they finally moved all the info over from old NC preps, it updated some of my info (post count, likes, etc.).
You may have just not used the right sign up link, but you can sign up for free for NC Preps pages still. You are just limited to the 4 football forums.
That was my thoughts. The clicks may be higher across the boards but the outside of the Tarboro guys, there is no engagement or discussion on 1a/2a.
What happened to all of the Murphy, Mitchell, and Robbinsville posters? When I first joined the site was loaded with them.
shoot, I can remember when the board was full of swain posters. I am not sure where the mountain guys went.
I remember when we had Edenton posters up here. They all gone now as well.

Could it be that the numbers reflecting August as the busiest month ever are because people were scrambling trying to join the new site before the season starts? Because as far as the eye test is concerned, at least in the forums, the engagement among members doesn't seem to hold a candle to the old site. If the numbers are great, it sure doesn't seem to be from NC people.
I think we all are speculating at this point, but our paid subscribers doubled, our views was really high and message boards numbers were good too. Granted I just started in July but I do look heavy into the numbers. Whatever we can do to get it going even better I’m all for. I appreciate the feedback or suggestions too
It does seem a lot of people who were on last year are now. Usually at a game there's discussion going on and now there's not. I haven't seen the usual back and forth for pages this year.
Alot of MA people are not! IK of a bunch bc they say its not worth the hassle to get logged on here. Many have lost their PW. I had to e mail to get mine back and I got the one from different e mail that I had set up. It killed buzzcoach lol!
I had similar issues. Couldn't get in with old login info and when I tried to use the same username as before it wouldn't let me.
Y’all think Helene might have hurt some of the mountain folks as far as participation? I know they still playing football but not sure about internet/cell service, especially in remote areas…

I’m here, but I’m one person and I’m busy.
The board is a far cry from what it used to be and that’s just a fact.
Just look at every Friday, Ive started the scores thread and they don’t even reach a second page. Just last year before all this the Scores thread would be started before all the games and it would reach up to 5 pages sometimes.

Well the eye test to us that have been on here a long time don't lie. No one on here talking about there teams or football like they did. Missing alot of posters on here. Like I said last year 1A football will never be the same including nc preps! Also this new site dosent work good it freezes alot and works slow!

There may not be all of our favorites on this site like the old preps but you have to also think that some teams have switched classifications causing them to post on other boards. MA went from 1A to 3A, which is two different boards. With teams moving around, some of the old rivalries aren't the same and people are still learning each other. Some teams aren't as good, so their posters don't post as much. Others have moved on because their kids don't play anymore or not in school anymore. Others stated that they struggled to sign up and I guess it's not as easy to sign up for free VS the paid version, so I'm sure that is preventing some as well. Give it some time and I think things will still get interesting.
I will say though, no fault of Deana or Trey, this site is very slow! Without a doubt very aggravating!
I was thinking it was only me, but it is slow sometimes. But I also exclusively use an iPad, not sure if that means anything or not. Sometimes when I type a reply it takes a long time to finish what I type.
Are you a member? Only reason I ask because I know the free members say the ads are terrible but I can’t tell bc of my account status. Thinking maybe this might be the same issue with Web slow. I haven’t had a problem with speed. Not saying u don’t
There are a “few” of us still around. But the Mitchell support is not only off here but on Friday nights. Attendance is down considerably at ball games as well. Guess it has to do with the team not being as good. But still not a good reason not to support teenagers in my opinion.
