The wife and I are traveling to Boston in September and trying to get a jump start on planning. It has been about 10 years since we have been so I'm sure lots has changed in the food industry and that some will require reservations. We are looking for tips and suggestion on the best places to eat while there about 5-6 days. We are staying in the Back Bay area but are willing to travel to eat good. Thanks in advance as the RSS has always been a go to for suggestions over the past 15+ years.

Read this before you go:

Do the Freedom Trail Walking Tour. Gotta do it at least once.

if you haven’t already, go see both Lexington and Concord historical sites.

Book the best restaurant in Charlestown for dinner. I haven’t lived there in a long time, but that’s just a no brainer.

Hit Marblehead for lunch.

Others with more recent experience will have better info.

Love Boston. Have a fun trip.

It’s been a few years but I was staying at a convention at the Aloft hotel and there was a bar there that had the best lobster roll I’ve ever eaten. I got it 3 times 😂

Do the Eagle's Deli Burger Challenge.

Or if not man enough (;)) just go there and see how many burger patties you think you can eat on 1 bun.

In before the "Make sure you are packing heat!" crowd.
"A dangerous democratic city with strong ties to the EVIL Kennedy Klan! No thanks, do people even visit Boston or NY or Chicago anymore, just poor people! My advice, cancel your plans and visit the badlands in South Dakota...dry grass, some sort of tall hills, no people. That is a vacation"

Better do dinner at 5pm, because if you go out after dusk, you’re gonna die!!

I'm not going to be your source for places to get reservations, but if you want to slum it I highly recommend getting a lobster roll at Kelly's Roast Beef in Revere and eating it on the beach across the street. Pretty easy to take the T from Back Bay.

Also, Regina Pizzeria in the North End was a cool old school pizza place that we enjoyed. Good pies and it felt like Whitey Bulger might walk in at any time and whack someone.

Enjoy and tell Spenser and Hawk I said Hi if you see them!

Haven’t been in years. Fenway is cool, but was somewhat underwhelming given it’s mystique

I had a business dinner at an amazing Italian restaurant. I believe it was Carmelina’s, awesome and close by several sports bars.
