I would like the TaxSlayer bowl vs a Big 12 team.

CBS had us playing Georgia Tech in the Independent bowl before the game.

We are Music City Bowl Bound for sure.

Arkansas blew it. No way on earth Nashville lets Big Blue Nation go somewhere else.

Could play: Iowa, Nebraska, Minnesota

no, the predictions already assume that
If LSU or Florida sneak into the cotton bowl, UK could go as high as the Tax Slayer Bowl against North Carolina

If not, we are most likely headed to play a Big 10 team in the Music City Bowl December 30

All 3 of those are solid programs and any would make a tough game for us, but all 3 are winnable.

If Bama wins the today, the SEC championship, and makes the playoff, wouldn't that move UK up a slot in the bowl pickins?

Most people already assume that. We should be in the 6 bowl pool regardless. The question is, which bowl will choose us and will we get picked over teams with 1 or 2 more wins? Unless Auburn beats Alabama, I think it is potentially in this order.

Playoff - Alabama
Sugar - Florida
Citrus - Auburn
Texas -A&M

I think those 4 might be set. After that it is hard to tell. I am guessing it ends up something like this.

Outback - Tennessee
TaxSlayer - LSU
MCB - Kentucky
Belk - Georgia
Liberty - Arkansas

B-ham - USC
Indy - Vandy
At Large - Miss St (APR)

It could change, but I think this might be the most logical setup for butts in seats.

Its Music City Bowl, unless Florida or LSU get into the Cotton, which is at large. I just dont see ANY scenario where Music City Bowl and the city of Nashville do NOT pick Kentucky if Kentucky is an option.

Indiana would be a good game. I just personally don't get as excited about bowl games against traditional basketball rivals. Same goes for UNC.

Same here. I'd think the same about playing UNC but they're more respectable than Indiana. I don't want to play a basketball school. I want us to play someone we'd never usually play like a TCU, Miami or Iowa or someone like that.

I think we'll be playing Iowa in the MCB.

Of the 3 B10 teams mention I think Iowa's is by far the best of that bunch and they are an improving team. They flat demolished Nebraska yesterday and tagged Michigan with their only other loss. But I can see some of the rationale there as Stoops is an Iowa alum so the bowl people would enjoy that connection IMO.

I just want something other than Music City or Liberty Bowl. That's all we ever go to if we are bowl eligible and want something new.

For selfish reasons I want Liberty bowl. catch the UK basketball game in Oxford Thursday night, head over to Liberty bowl Friday. can't beat that

I've got tickets for the game at Ole Miss but am willing to drive from there to Nashville for a bowl game there the next day too.

That would be a fun trip. If there were thousands of guaranteed tickets to the Ole Miss game, I could see lots of fans wanting to go to Memphis. Nashville is only 4 hours away and would work to.

Ole Miss loses....good for our bowl hopes. USC and Vandy will both lose tonight. Not sure how many SEC teams left that are bowl eligible.

Well one bowl will not have an SEC team at it now with Ole Miss losing. They should just drop the Independence from the SEC tie-ins. I believe that is 2 straight years now without a team there.

Check my post up in this topic. Those are all the teams that could make it.

Those wanting liberty because of the basketball game. Music city is the same day as liberty and on the way home for most. Plus it's a later start so no kegs and eggs
