@MichiganHerd @WVUALLEN @torontoeers @FallingRun84 @Chris from WV @WVex-pat in GA

looks like we are now playing Army in the Liberty Bowl. Not a good matchup for us. A heck of a lot better opponent IN EVERY SENSE. This bowl game is the toughest pick I’ll ever make and I’ll probably change it more than once.

I bet Tennessee fires Mr Potato Head now too
Don't be fooled by Armys 9-2 record. They had to put together a make shift schedule. Check it out. I know Army plays a style that's hard to play against, but I think the Army will be an easier game than Tennessee.

I understand what you’re saying about the schedule but:

Army is disciplined machine and they eat the clock. WVU will get 7-8 possessions probably. The style is something you don’t see in the Big XII and most important WVU has 9 days until the game. One is Christmas and the other is a travel day. Probably 7 days. Hard to defend that system on that short a notice.

Army is not God

WVU does a good job of eating the clock as well.

Army ranked 71st in penalties. Must not be as disciplined as you think.

Biggest worry I have is Our LB are slow.

It's not hard at all to prepare for that system. If that system was all that great everyone would run it. Just hope the officiating calls all the chop blocks that Army does.

WVU defends the outside run better than most. It's the off tackle runs I would be worried about because of the poor LB play.

I’m half tempted to change my pick on Marshall vs Buffalo given the opt outs but wth I’ll stay with the Herd. If I pick against them they win, if I pick them they’ll probably lose. Bowl Pickm is the toughest Pickm of the season

So far, its a three-way tie; one right pick, one wrong pick, and one COVID pick 😁

FYI... Music City Bowl Iowa/Missouri and Texas Bowl TCU/Arkansas have been canceled due to COVID-19. Since the Music City Bowl is also played directly across the river from the Christmas Day bombing site in Nashville this one has a double whammy.

Well given how my picks have gone I would be feeling great if I was a school I picked not to win.

Plus I just saw where FL’s has only 60 scholarships players with 6 out with COV19 and 7 more opting out to get ready for the NFL. Worst for the Gators is Best TE in Collegw Football and nightmare matchup Pitts is one of them (COV19). If the Sooners can’t win with all that going for them the Big XII was really down this year cause FL is down 9 starters.

oh and again i picked FL to win look for Oklahoma in a rout

Can you imagine being a degenerate sports gambler thinking this will be a competitive game before all the opt outs and COV19?

it is another reason why I’m not a gambler.

Players have to show up regardless.

If you can't compete you better find another sport.
NFL is competition 365 days a year. Someone going to take your job.

Don't care if you are the third string TE

What's Texas excuse for not competing with their top 10 recruiting classes?
Crazy that they were 3 plays from being undefeated.

That new OLine blocking scheme they have can he deadly with a more athletic QB.
Took some time to become a zone blocking team. But they are doing what a lot of the elite NFL teams are

I wouldn't be surprised if WVU looks like that as well up front

With all Bowl Games complete and only the NCG left, in which we have all picked Bama, it makes no difference in the outcome of that game to the determination of the Bowl Pick Champion. So congrats to @MichiganHerd for taking the title for Bowl Picks as well as the regular season. Beat me out in the tie-breaker by 3 pts.

I also wanted to give a historical recap of Pick'M champs since I have been keeping stats:
2016 - @3xWVUenginEER , 2017 - @WVex-pat in GA , 2018 - @MichiganHerd , 2019 - @3xWVUenginEER , 2020 - @MichiganHerd . Kind of like the CFP isn't it? Not sure who won in 2015.

Anyway, here's the rest of the stats for the week including the year-end total:

@WVex-pat in GA good stats and thanks

Btw 2016 was year one for Pickm
Didn't do it in 2015 or I didn’t

congrats @MichiganHerd

IMO the bowl Pickm is harder cause you don’t know who’s actually playing. FL vs OK was set to be a good Cotton Bowl game till 13 FL starters opted out. Then it was FL 2nd and 3rd string vs Oklahoma. Similar with NC State and KY.

see you guys about Labor Day 2021
