Is this being blown out of proportion? Very poor choice of words, or strategic attempt to further vilify the media?

These people are too smart and sneaky.

She was probably thinking about something that happened in one of the other 56 states.

I mean, just a slip up? No way she actually thought there was an actual attack, right? She does look tired though

It's funny how snowflakes are parsing every word anyone in this administration says, yet did not do the same with Obama's regime. Biden was a walking gaffe.

Conway said she meant to refer to the terrorists from Bowling Green, Ky.

Pretty big word use there though, you have to admit. Massacre? What did she mean to say?

She was simply invoking Trump's new executive order allowing the use of Alternative Facts by this administration.

So she used the word 'massacre' instead of 'terrorist'? I think there's a subliminal message here. I think she's saying something.

I'm having a hard time believing she didn't make a conscious attempt at another "war on the media talking point"....she did walk it back though, so at least there's that.

True--At least she didn't deny it then say the press missrepresented it.

It's more than a gaffe when you use it to justify a policy change.
Some of the other stuff the past, I get. Like the 57 states. He had probably been to all 50 and then twice to 7 of them. There are other examples that are similar from all presidents and vice presidents.

But to make up a story about a massacre as a justification to a policy is an entirely different animal.

Well, the bottom line with Conway is, she's a moron. We'll see lots of this over the next 4 years.

There was a Bowling Green massacre. Actually there were several. Here's one of them.

I may be missing something, but I thought she said she misspoke.

Well of course she's going to say that now that her ridiculous statement is blasted all over the place. Remember this is Ms. Alternative Facts ... so she'll say anything.

I don't know how "massacre" just slips out. I could see Iraqi vs. Iranian, or something like that ... but massacre? Bowling Green Massacre.

Sorry, but I just don't see it and I'm not buying it. I don't really think it is my bias against Trump either. Despite my bias, I do try to be rational and fair and I'm just not seeing this.

haha... you're so right. So what she made up a U.S. massacre? She's still right if you ignore everything she said. Remember when Obama said that and Hillary and Bill did it too? Where's the outrage over that?

I guess she's made the slip up twice. Once before in an interview in Cosmopolitan. So, same mistake twice??

Right, because she strikes fear in people. WTF is wrong with you guys?
The media covering up Islamic fundamentalist terror attacks is scary for many for multiple reasons, esp to those that do not watch CNN or ABC news (because it's fake news, as declared by the administration). She retracted via ABC and the story about the second "slip up" was on CNN. I bet there are many people out there that actually believe there was an attack at Bowling Green that Obama had the administration cover up. There are still people out there that believe pizzagate was real.

Funny thing is, this wasn't a slip of the tongue. She made the 'massacre' reference repeatedly.

Outside of this thread I have heard nothing about this story at all so her master plan failed. Seems like a plan that devious would have had a little more? I am guessing she is like most people over 45 and she said something and then it is in her head and she keeps repeating it and not some master plan to deceive the masses, but who knows.

I'm not over 40 just yet, so I guess I'll find out.
