Maybe @funKYcat75 can do what he did for the Christmas Movie Tourney and do a poll for each of these (assuming he's a baseball fan)?

You left out the epic moment when Steve Nebraska threw a perfect game in the World Series, even striking out known power hitter Ozzie Smith.

No bracket needed. The Natural is the GOAT and Field of Dreams right there next.

Terrible bracket, fwiw.....no 42 or Bingo Long.
I had 42 but Mr. Baseball was ranked higher in the baseball movies list so I included that as the play-in.

Still 42 isn't anywhere close to the top 10 baseball movies which are all in here.

Talent for the Game is one I like but doesn't make it. Sugar was also on the table. Little Big League was the other kids baseball movie from the 90s.

I love the Sandlot but it’s not beating the original Bad News Bears.

The Natural is the best baseball movie ever imo- Major League is my favorite.

Most underrated- 61*

Costner’s best baseball movie is Bull Durham.

I had AI fill out this bracket and it had The Sandlot beating Major League in the finals. Not what I would pick but can't hate on any of the options. Baseball movies are lightyears ahead of movies about other sports.

I dunno man ‘bend it like Beckham’ really resonates 😑

Field of Dreams for me. It was fun to see MLB play at the Field of Dreams twice and the Reds be apart of it in the 2nd game.

Bull Durham sucks and is really just a lame romantic comedy dressed up as a baseball movie to trick men into watching it.
Movies like Bad News Bears and 8 Men Out are far superior. Even The Sandlot, which I didn’t see until I was an adult is better.
Sorry it had to be said

Seems many haven’t heard of Long Gone, the HBO movie back in 1987. It’s free here on YouTube.

I like it better than Bull Durham. In terms of baseball scenes in a movie, For Love of the Game is second to none. It’s just that there’s all of the romance with Kelly Preston stuff for the rest of movie which kills it.

Long Gone is a great baseball flick. Absurd that it is a “play-in” team. Blow out win by 30+ in that game. Double digit win against Bull Durham in the next round. Only reason it wouldn’t get past the Elite Eight is because the selection committee screwed them. Eight Men out wins that one in OT.

Cantrell’s Rule: Eff ‘em if they can’t take a joke.

"Cobb" is one of my favorite baseball movies. It belongs in the tournament, IMO.

I only put it there cause besides my brother and I, no one else had heard of it when I talk about it until now. Glad to see a fellow fan!

Baseball movies are lightyears ahead of movies about other sports.
That's because baseball is the worst sport. Nothing happens. And it takes no talent. So you can have close ups of theater kids staring off in to the distance thinking about settling down on a farm for three minutes. Cut ahead two hours in to the game when the next action happens and audience isn't lost. Show things in slow motion and not annoy viewers who would rather see exciting alley oops in real time.

The original Bad News Bears for the upset....you can take your bracket and your trophy and shove 'em straight up your ***!

Probably Major League for me.
