Hats off for the NCHSAA getting it right. ( Just use Simmons brackets. They are correct)
are you serious about the hats off to NCHSAA?? I say phooey to that...................should've waited until they got all the info before they even started releasing a bracket..................................
Simply amazes me each year they make all these mistakes.
People who predict this stuff on here as a hobby know more than those who get paid to do it.

In the 4a bracket, they had S Caldwell receiving a bye and 2 seed with a 1 and 10 record. Glenn is 10 1 in same side of the bracket as a 3 seed
Brian...I hope you are wrong....would be a shame for Shelby and South Point to meet in the second round. Wouldn't really be fair to either team. Hopefully the NCHSAA will recognize this as well.
South got the 4A seed from there conference. Only 2 4a teams in that conference.
Glenn is ranked 5th in state in 4a. They're a 3rd seed and S Caldwell is 2 seed with a bye. No way under the sun it makes sense

My opinion if you win your conference or get an auto birth with losing record, you should go to an at large bid and teams with highest records fill in higher seeds
Tarheel Greg and Simmons should be hired to do this. We would have had the brackets by 8AM this morning!
Incompetence and lack of accountability. People should be fired for this screw up. They literally are constantly messing up and never held accountable for it.
Tarheelg g and Simmons are hired. It would be better if there were an in-state service that could rank these teams, instead of using a national ranking system. They could actually see some teams play and give an unbiased opinions. Business opportunity????
Best two teams in the west are now gonna meet in the second round if this one is the final....what a waste....

Yes, per 2nd preliminary brackets Shelby drew the 8 seed and gets Newton-Conover 1st round and South Point again in the 2nd.

Makes no sense whatsoever.
Mount Pleasant was originally expected to go 2AA East. However, something must have happened in the east, because Mt Pleasant is back in the 2AA West and was a conference champion. It pushed the highest ranked #2 team to the 8th seed. NCHSAA brackets now match Simmons 2AA West projections.
