Are you concerned about the offense? That's a respectful question.
Yes! BUT, if we win a championship it will on the back of D and rebounding.
Only got listen on radio so I want to watch replay. It’s the tourney and teams are going to extremes on defense because they have nothing to lose.
To quote Mr. T, “I pity the fool team that catches us on a hot night.”

I have said this several times this year, our D might be the best team D in the last decade. We played beyond crappy and won by 16 putting in a top 5 historical points allowed in NCAA HISTORY! Throw in the Texas game from last year and that is 3 of top 6 lowest scoring defensive efforts in NCAA Tourney history

The problem is that this team seems very focused on defense and rebounding and are gradually playing slower and slower. They want so bad to get ball insde and dribble around until something open up and its not doing so. Then we take last second bad shots. This team has always played extremely well when they get in a flow and just play. They do better when playing faster.
It doesnt help that Cooke cant find her shot and I am afraid it is not coming back this season. Amihere showed flashes at times but just cant take that final leap into superstar play. She has ability but just keeps making bonehead plays. That is why we are seeing less and less of her.
This team can core but Dawn has got to let them just start to run and force the action because trying so very hard to get the ball inside over and over is killing anyone from getting into a flow. As much as it is great with Boston getting all the double doubles, is that it seems that has become a subconcious primary focus on the coaches. Honestly if the streak broke yesterday I think they would just play. It is still a GREAT team but they have to be free and play. No more forcing things.

They have zero chance with that offense.
Yesterday, uncharacteristically Boston went 4 for 17 and 2 for 6 from the free thrown line. Most misses were layups. Since this is the first time that happened in 2 and 1/2 years, I don't think that would be the norm. If 10 of those layups would account for 20 more points, and two of the four missed free throws would mean theoretically you could add 22 more points to the 16 point victory and thus having us win by 38 to 40 points which would have been most impressive considering we basically stifled a team that just scored 24 pts in one quarter in their game against South Florida the previous game and a team that knocked Louisville, another #1 seed out of the ACC tournament game. Zia, was starting to have a decent shooting night but foul trouble, causing her to have to go in and out of the game never let her get into rhythm, though as pointed out by the media in the post conference, much of the infrequent offensive bursts came when she was in the game, and the team seemed to stagnate when she was on the bench in foul trouble. I frankly don't see this occurring again as Boston has been one of the most consistent players in all of college basketball. The team will reset and I still think they have the best chance to win a championship. We, while not pretty or impressive won by 16 with our best player having her worst shooting night, while on the other hand Caitlin Clarke had a poor night with scoring only 15 pts., and Iowa is now at home. I think the team will watch that film a lament all of the easy misses and what could have been and move on to do what they need to accomplish their goals. Everyone just chill a little.

We shot better and won by a bigger margin than UConn just did last night, against a tougher opponent. We had a double digit lead through the entire second half, they had to hope UCF missed two free throws at the end. And yet their fans claim USC's offense is an embarrassment to WBB.

It'll all come out in the wash.

If USC shoots like they did Sunday they will lose this game and any game going forward. I’ve said before and I’ll repeat it, Beal offensively is a huge liability because her woeful shooting allows the other team to pack the paint. So, you give up her defensive lockdown of others or play someone that can score? I say they need a scorer or at least someone that requires the other team to guard them.

Beal did not cost Boston to miss 12 layups. It was an off game for her. She gets back to normal and with our same lineup we will be fine.
