They are the rare Cowboy wrasslers who aren’t named after barnyard animals, other various beasts o’burden, country sounding adjectives (e.g. Rowdy) or verbs (e.g. Chase).
Thompson was the #4 P4P recruit in 2023. He was a true fresh ncaa qualifier in 2024 with some solid wins like Gaitan, Peyton Mocco, Tate Picklo, and Jared Simma.
Haven’t seen him much since to give any idea where he is at, but presumably behind Ryder and/or Merrill at OSU.
Not sure how you can say you follow wrestling, and not know who these guys are.
It's hard to pay attention to other teams underperforming wrestlers when we have plenty of our own to worry about.
Yeah I don’t know guys who haven’t wrestled all year and are buried on other teams’ depth charts. I’m weird like that.

I can only speak for me, but I don't know the backups for Wyoming or Michigan State either, nor do I ever hope to. Not sorry. (and I knew a little bit about them, but not much - it's hard enough to follow starters on any team, since they only wrestle part time anymore)

Thompson is from Illinois, I remember him being a big recruit, but thought he also had behavior problems? Didn’t live up to the hype or he would have beat out Ryder or Facundo. All the Smith recruits are being purged except Spratley and Merrill. With Taylor bringing into many guys in a short time, we knew they would be way over the limit of 30. Can’t remember who their huge 141 was last year, but I’m expecting him to hit the portal soon as a 149.
Do you follow Gabe Arnold and the Soldier Salute? Arnold wrestled Robb at it last year.

Thompson couldn't make weight for the Dual Ryder was unable to wrestle. He's a 184lber who's too small for 197, but his walking around weight currently is over 200lbs. He has a hard time making 184lbs from what I've heard.
Jamison has been hurt most of the year. He is most likely redshirting. He's wrestled one open I believe.
