I think the Cracker Barrel would actually do well located there. I remember about 25 years ago when Shoneys on 421 in Wilkes was booming with business.

This is all over the place. Where, when ,who, and what time and day are we eating. I think we need to get it as central located as possible and if one of us lives 5 minutes from the place that's the way it has to be. We need to set a date, time and place and get a good idea of whose coming. Call the place to see if we can have a separate room and go for it. I'm good for all Mondays and Tuesdays. Every other Wed. and every other Thursday, Friday. In other words. If I'm off on Wed. I work Thursday/Friday and if I'm off Thurs/Fri. I'm off on Wed. I don't work Mon. or Tues. OFC

I have no dog in this race, but, c'mon guys, Cracker Barrel? Y'all can get you a replica rocking chair while you're there after eating some of the most pretentious Southern food in America. "Home Cookin'." Right.

How about Tuesday June 14th 11:00 at Cracker Barrel in Durham. See how many can go and maybe we can get a section or one table. OFC

HMMMMM. I thought this was going to be around Durham. Greensboro is one hell of a haul for me. Durham is 3 hours for me. I'm down here in Atlantic Beach , Morehead City.

You have to love a place called More-head City!

Why are all you people planning on going further away from the beach in the summer time? Wilmington is where it's at.

It might, with all the traffic through there at times. IF I remember correctly, that place has had several different restaurants , over the years. Would do great during the bluegrass weekend.

My wife is having female surgery on June 14 and I probably should stick around town on the 14th. If held another day I would likely come, especially if in the Raleigh or Durham area which is about 1.5 hours for me.

I can make it. I really don't think we can come up with a date that everyone will agree on, so we just need to pick a date and place and do it. Hopefully we will have a good turn out.

It is a great idea. If you some of you guys can't hang with Cracker Barrel then let's give Golden Corral a shot. Great Buffet and at the one in Burlington which is right off the interstate they have rooms we can reserve. How about Tuesday June 21st. at 11:00 a.m. That way maybe gotta can come. I can call and get a room reserved but we have to make up our minds far. No day, time or place is going to work for all of us. If someone has a better rest or place put it up and we all will vote for it. Make a poll or something. Certainly we want it centrally located for as many as possible to come. I know Show has a long way to go no matter where we have it. Closer to the east for him maybe Durham or Raleigh. Raleigh is an hour from Burlington and Durham is about 30 minutes from Burlington. Could someone get a map and look at the major cities that I85-40 runs and see what is the most centrally located one and see what good eating places that can take a small crowd of Dukies and see what happens. We could have a lot of fun and just go to chapel hill all wearing Duke gear and see what happens. c.h. is about 10 minutes off the interstate on 15-501. Now we need to crap or get off the pot. What are we going to do. OFC

Sky I like the way that sounds much better than the 14th.
I was in Emerald Isle this weekend Show. Right around your neck of the woods......or ocean.
Coach325 just curious, you weren't at Trinity Center last weekend were you?

Pisgah is the one with the really long drive to Durham at about 4 hours and Show is next with about 3 hours. Not so bad from Winston, Yadkinville, Asheboro, Charlotte, Greensboro or Fayetteville with all less than 1 or 2 hours. Good food is available in about any city but there is the Pitt BBQ joint in Durham that I have heard good things about or we could eat at the Washington and Duke Inn if Sky's buying:). Or maybe Coach K and Mickie would put us in their pool house:D.

Wow, the eagerness to have a get-together is overwhelming.
I know and I badly want to come, but my daughter and I are going on a mission trip between the 12th and the 28th. Have fun and please discuss another one on another date so I can meet some of you guys also!

Well if it's only a few of us let's set a time on June 21st somewhere in Raleigh or Durham and be done with it. If Spike wants to he can pick me up and we can ride together. I'm feel if we can get a place where several of us can be seated together and get a good meal would be great. Golden Corral is a good one for that. How does the board feel about this. OFC

I'm all for Golden Corral and the 21st is good with me.

I wish we could have more attendees so we could play "guess who I am".

So if you read this and can get away, please try to attend. Time and location forthcoming.

Here's some info. There are 2 Durham Golden Corral locations.

3800 N. Roxboro Rd. Durham. 919-477-1226

5006 Apex Hwy 55 Durham. 919-544-2275

Both have small rooms to accommodate small groups.

The Apex is more eastern located.
I will call to reserve a room if the group is large enough.

Will need to know quickly who is coming and which one. The one that gets the most votes is the one I will call.

Let's crap or get off the pot guys. OFC
