Breaking: AJ Henning to Michigan

I’m not a Michigan guy at all but I’m gonna have to learn. That McCarthy to Henning connection will be deadly. Michigan is owning Illinois right now with Keegan-Henning-McCarthy in consecutive classes.

U of I should go into their vault under the quad and gather enough cash for Urban not to say no. The fact that top talent doesn't even consider Illinois at this point is alarming on many levels.

Michigan offensively is due for one of those Anthony Carter - Desmond Howard - Braylon Edwards type of player. Taking a chance on Henning looks to be a step in that direction. This season, I hope he gets a lot of touches as a receiver, runner and return man to see what he can really do.

Edgy, I love the work you do, but can you please PLEASE just proofread your story before you hit publish? I know you want to get breaking news out as soon as possible, and I know most people probably don't care — the really simple and obvious errors bother me. Ok, saw 2 words. New instead of knew and relived instead of relieved. Did I miss anything? Spell check would have not caught those since they are legit words.

Definitely appreciate the heads up and I usually go over them as soon as I post them...understanding that I'm attempting to get this up and out ASAP...but you are also 100 percent correct and I'll do better.

Thanks, EDGY. I know you work your butt off, and the value of that work really means something to the kids you write about.

AJ seems like such a nice young man. Hear he is incredibly bright. Congrats to him. I really can’t remember a better football player in the Chicagoland area. Wish him all the best. He is going to tear it up this year.

Not taking anything away from AJ but I remember a young man named Samson Evans who tore it up on the playing field who IMO was the top football player in Illinois for at least 2 years. Haven't seen AJ play but with them playing two different positions it would be hard to rate them anyway!
Anyone know how Evans is doing at Iowa?

I checked a few weeks back to see where he was at on the depth chart at RB and I believe he was on 3rd string

Samson is special, but he’s not as athletic as AJ.

AJ is a phenomenal talent. I want to see a full healthy season before the all-time talk.

LWE had some really nice plays designed for him and I saw a couple at GBW last year. Hope to see more this year except for week 4.
